Holding your pendulum ask:
Show me yes
Show me no
Can I dowse for my diet
May I dowse for my diet
Dowse over the food with your pendulum asking questions that can be answered with a yes or a no. Don’t forget your responses may vary at different times.
Suggested questions to get you
started using the above chart:
Is this item good for me to eat or drink?
Does my present diet meet all of my protein needs?
Do I need to add new source of protein to my diet?
Would my protein needs be met by adding eggs to my diet?
Would one egg per week be sufficient to meet my needs at this time?
Should I also add other sources of other protein?
Make an overall dowsing analysis of your diet. Here are some pointers to start with:
Identify any foods that are missing from your diet, any that are present in excess and any that your body would rather not have.
Start to compile a list of foods, which your dowsing indicates you need. Using the above table to help you.
The process of tailoring your diet is a necessarily a slow one – dowse once a week in this way over a period of three months and keep adding to or amending your list. Keep a diary of the changes you experience.
You can dowse as you prepare your meal. Suggested questions:
Does this meal contain everything my body I needs right now?
Do I need to add more fat of oil?
Would a serving of sunflower seeds meet my needs?
Is there anything in this meal that my body would prefer less of? More of?
Is there any thing I should eliminate from this meal?

Plummeting
mineral levels suggest nutritional crisis in UK
![]()
By Anthony Fletcher
![]()
03/02/2006
- The plummeting mineral content of milk, meat and vegetables
over the past 60 years will have grave consequences for the future health of the
UK, according to a shocking food analysis.
Dr David Thomas, a primary
healthcare practitioner and independent researcher, made a comparison of
government tables published in 1940, and again in 2002.
His conclusions, which were
published by the Food Commission this month, make alarming reading.
For example, the iron
content in 15 different varieties of meat had decreased on average by 47 per
cent, with some products showing a fall as high as 80 per cent, while the iron
content of milk had dropped by over 60 per cent.
Copper and magnesium,
essential for enzyme
functioning, also showed losses in meat products. Magnesium levels have
typically fallen by 10 per cent while copper levels have fallen by 60 per cent.
Dairy foods have
experienced a 90 per cent fall in copper, while the calcium loss in high-value
Parmesan cheese was an extraordinary 70 per cent, implying a considerable
dilution of the original highly concentrated recipe.
"Processed and
manufactured food has resulted in increasingly denatured products, with no
micronutrients,"
Thomas told FoodNavigator. "As time has gone on, things have got
lost.
"With the current
obesity crisis, lo and behold; people are beginning to realise that good food
makes good sense."
But the default meal for
many children remains a plate of rendered meat, chips and Coke.
"We're beginning to
see what was once called adult onset diabetes in kids, and an increase in asthma
and hyperactivity," said Thomas. "All these have nutritional
links. When I see chronic illnesses such as these, I always think it is amazing
what a difference changing diets can do but why shouldn't it be like this in the
first place?"
Intensive farming on
exhausted land appears to be one likely major cause of the decline in the
nutritional quality of the food, along with the selection of varieties for
qualities other than nutrition. Thomas points out that the food industry is also
under intense pressure to produce cheaper food, instead of nutrient-dense food.
"Why is it that you
have to eat four carrots to get the same amount of magnesium as you would have
done in 1940?" he asks.
The UK's Food Standards
Agency (FSA), which publishes The Composition of Food, points out that the use
the government tables to make historical comparisons could be problematic. It
said in a statement that any differences over time could be due to a wide
variety of factors, including variety and breed, animal husbandry, storage
conditions as well as differences in analytical methodology.
But statistics clearly show
that there is something seriously wrong with levels of nutritional awareness in
Europe. The European Commission says that 14 million Europeans are now obese
or overweight, of which more than 3 million are children.
"We've lost the
plot," insists
Thomas. "Until people wake up to this situation, then things will get
worse."
Food, says Thomas, has to
be grown well in order for it to be micronutrient dense. This concept should
inform government policies across Europe.
"But the only
people interested in this at the moment seem to be celebrities,"
he added.

Hello again and a happy New Year! I hope you have all enjoyed Christmas and are now looking forward to the New Year. I am certainly looking forward to starting this year, I am just finishing off the new Wessex Dowsers Program and am looking forward to running this years new extended range of dowsing courses which include dowsing for beginners, dowsing for health, Earth Energies and geopathic stress and a new one day workshop on using Dowsing as a way of influencing your future using intent based on the author Raymond Grace’s book “The future is yours do something about it”
As promised in this edition I have the article from the British Society of Dowsers journal published titled “Dowsers Discover Concealed Megalith” which is an account by me of our discovery of the fallen standing stone at Knowlton Henge last May. It was the lead article in the journal, which included a full-page photo on the front page taken and edited by Paula Haywood full credit is given to all involved.
For those of you interested in health (and who isn’t) I have included a truly inspirational article on dowsing for health taken from an earlier BSD journal.
The first dowsing for health course went very well in November last year and students said they were impressed by the venue at the Grasshopper in Parkstone. I have published the course dates for this year below: all courses are being run in the Grass hopper near Bournemouth on the south coast with accommodation if required

The Dowsing Mechanism
Bob Cracknell
Bob will explain all about Entanglement, how it makes dowsing work and how it affects Ley lines. This is where the Quantum scientist meets the psychic and the dowser. Whatever happens to one particle will thus immediately affect the other particle, wherever in the universe it may be. Einstein called this "Spooky action at a distance." Bob Cracknell is a former Instrumentation Scientist with the Defence Research Agency. His research includes understanding the Ley line signal, the dowsing mechanism and gravitationally entangled protons.

ã Paul Craddock
Knowlton Church and Henge is 3 miles south of Cranborne on the B3078 and is one of Dorset’s most sacred sites. Many authors of archaeology and earth mysteries have cited it. R. Hippisley Cox described Knowlton in his 1914 book “The Green Roads of England” as a Henge Temple and thought that material of the Church once formed the stone circles of a Sun Temple. Knowlton Rings consists of 4 earthworks: the North Circle, Church Circle, Southern Circle and the “Old Churchyard” In addition to these sites to the east of the Church Circle is the great Barrow, the largest round barrow in Dorset, and almost certainly directly related to the henges. Within a one-mile radius of these earth works there are also a large number of barrows and ring-ditches. Within the Church Circle is the ruin of Knowlton Church which contains architectural features dating from the twelfth to the sixteenth centuries.
I have visited Knowlton on many occasions to conduct dowsing research and to teach other dowsers. Nearly all my dowsing has taken place in the Church Circle, which is the one looked after by English Heritage with access to the public and is the Henge with the ruined Norman Church in its centre.
My story for Dowsing Today readers starts this year in early April 2005 when I was filming for a forthcoming course with my friend Tim Chaloner and his son 11 year old son Remy. Remy is interested in photography and had with him an old SLR manual camera with which he went off on his own and took many pictures around the site. Three weeks later, after examining the photographs taken by Remy energy line was discovered on three of the photographs much like a ghost but in the form of a line. The three photographs of the energy line appeared all in the same location on the far side of the Henge.
Later on in May 2005 I was running one of my BSD dowsing courses at Knowlton and asked Tim and his son to come along and match the photos of the energy line to the correct location on site. Which they managed to do. I then decided to get my students to dowse the energy line seen in the photographs, on tracking the line one of my students Al Urquhart tracked the line over what appeared to be a small flat stone, but when the weeds were pulled a way, Al found a large standing stone now fallen down, lying flat in the ground. In a subsequent article in the British Archaeology magazine the stone was described as a rectangular slab around 1m by 40cm.
Interestingly, I found another stone, which appeared to be buried in an upright position with just its top showing in the bank close to the fallen one.
I have found that the general consensus amongst local dowsers is that the ancient site most likely had many standing stones before they where knocked down or destroyed when the now ruined Norman church was erected on what was originally an ancient Henge. two such stones can be seen in the church its self. One the alter stone, and the other clearly in the base of the tower.
After finding the stone we decided to try to dowse to see if we could locate more. This led us over the fence away from the fallen stone and out of the Henge along to an overgrown part of the site where our dowsing indicated further fallen buried stones, however this area is currently below a high patch of nettles so further investigation did not take place. We also got the dowsing impression that there was a row of standing stones leading through a dip in the Henge towards the fallen stone.
For those of you familiar with Earth energy features. I found an Energy Ley on the spot of the ghost line in the photograph going through the stone and also an energy current of the type describes by Hamish miller flowing into the site through the fallen stone and flowing in to a mound in the Henge its self. There are many Energy Leys entering the site from different directions. Knowlton Church Circle sits in the centre of at least 5 major Leys going in different directions through Gusage St Michael Cross and Stone, Hod Hill, Badbury Rings, Verwood Hoorstone and Figsbury Rings.
There are also many energy spirals; a lot of male and female energy currents described as the Michael and Mary Currents by Hamish Miller in his book “The Sun and The Serpent”, a very powerfull male (positive in polarity) energy current flows though the two ancient trees in the bank though the walls of the church and ends in a very powerful spiral inside the church. I can safely say that all who dowse it notice its powerful physical effects!
The Churches northeast buttress acts like a standing stone and Tom Graves in his book “Needles of Stone Revisited” documents its Bands of energies, the 5th Band having the ability to spin a sensitive person away from the stone.
Since we discovered the stone in May we have received a lot of media interest, which has included articles in the local paper, British Archaeology magazine, Aquarian magazine, and the Ley hunter Newsletter. I was also interviewed by the BBC for their program “Inside Out” which goes out on BBC south in which they have an archaeology slot.
Filming with the BBC was not what I had expected! A very laid back bunch, the camera man was a dowser, and the researcher was a dowser, as I took the researcher, a lady named Jane around the site before filming she was able to dowse and feel the energies. That left the Presenter, and on the actual day of filming she looked at my rods with horror! But fortunately, the wind picked up all of a sudden which gave me 5 minutes alone with her while they went to change the microphone. In this time I don’t know how I did it but I taught her to dowse! So as we walked around the site she was able to dowse an energy line for real on camera! I have just watched the Programme and there she was with the rods crossing over the fallen stone. Very good press for us dowsers!
A great more dowsing research needs to done at Knowlton and I shall be back there next summer. My BSD curriculum-dowsing courses will resume in January 2006. If any Dowsing Today reader would like further information about the site of Knowlton or about future dowsing courses you can e-mail me at paul@healthyandwise.uk or call me on 0870 428 0934 you can see more pictures of our finds at Knowlton on my web site which is www.healthyandwise.co.uk and click on the dowsing newsletter section.

Dowsing, Health and Nutrition
INTRODUCTION
This article discusses some
of my dowsing experiences in the area of health and nutrition.
It is in two parts, the second one being presented in the next issue of
Dowsing Today. To begin I will
explain how I became intrigued by dowsing some 13 years ago In 1991 I was
diagnosed with M.E. It appeared
very suddenly following a seemingly 'routine' viral infection.
Despite the best efforts of doctors and homeopaths I was still totally
unable to function after 18 months and showed no sign of improvement.
At this point my experienced homeopath made the suggestion that
eventually changed my life "I think you should go and see this dowser"
I had no idea what a dowser did, though vague recollections related to finding
water did exist. She then told me
that he didn’t dowse for water he dowsed people to see what was wrong with
them. I asked the obvious, 'How
does he do that?" but was totally unprepared for the answer "With a
pendulum." Frankly, I thought
she had lost the plot and I told her so. I
refused point blank and we carried on as usual. Three months later, I was still in a terrible state with no
prospect of working. Reluctantly, I
agreed to visit the dowser. You
have to see this from my perspective at the time.
My whole life had been spent in science and engineering, much of it in
research. I had been a consultant
to major companies, technical manager of computer manufacturers and so on.
The idea of a man with a pendulum making me well seemed ridiculous and
when I had broached the idea to visiting colleagues they all agreed.
No doubt you can guess what happened.
This frail old man that I met turned my life around in less than a month. He subsequently worked miracles on my friends and members of
my family. Despite the constant
ridicule of colleagues, I was totally captivated by this. Nothing could take away the experiences I now had I visited
him regularly, often trying to catch him out (no luck). I paid out lots of money for tests in laboratories to see if
they confirmed any of his opinions (they did).
Whatever the ridicule, I knew that I was experiencing something very
important. The dowser became a
lifeline and I also became aware of the many serious cases he was dealing with.
People would fly in from thousands of miles away just to see him.
And then the unthinkable happened. He
died under anaesthetic during an operation to fix a long term problem.
GETTING STARTED
At this point I was
absolutely devastated. I had
previously tried to find other people who could dowse in this special way (just
in case), but I couldn't. The
dowser didn't know anyone either. I
had no real idea how he worked - he never discussed it.
It clearly involved a pendulum and using various scales/charts but that
was all I knew. He would prescribe
all manner of nutrients like vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes etc. and
you would invariably get better. Whatever
I decided at that point that I would learn to dowse, I would develop my own
methods and I would eventually help other people if I could actually get
anywhere with it. And so began a
very long journey that continues to this day.
I read everything I could find, often bought in the type of shops I had
no desire to visit. I read
all sorts of things I would never dream of reading normally, but nothing related
directly to what I had experienced. It
did however convey some basic ideas, though it took me ages to generate the most
basic of pendulum responses for myself. An
analytical mind is great once you can dowse but it makes it very difficult to
get started. Once I had basic
responses I started asking questions and invariably got all the wrong answers.
It was extremely frustrating and not helped by the fact that just about
everyone around me thought I was crackers.
Most of them are now enthusiastic clients! If you are a newcomer to
dowsing I can only suggest that perseverance is the key, driven by some form of
blind faith. Although I
constantly got incorrect answers, my previous experience had demonstrated quite
clearly that it was also possible to get the right answers.
A couple of years elapsed before I got anything remotely reliable
happening. Another 4 or 5 years
went by studying various issues evolving techniques and attempting to deal with
simple problems within the family. Then
one day a friend who had some serious health problems asked if I would try and
help him. I did and it changed his
life. From there on, it was
obvious that I was developing something useful.
NUTRITIONAL DOWSING
Apart from being on the
Professional Register of this Society, I do not promote what I do in any way.
Everyone I see is a referral from another practitioner (notably
homeopaths) or previous clients. Even
so it is sometimes difficult to deal with everyone.
The essence of what I do is as follows.
Referred clients are told to tell me nothing except their name and
contact details initially. This
intrigues them but I find that having a complete lack of information excludes a
lot of preconceptions. For example,
if someone says, “ I suffer from migraines” then there are many dangers for
me. Firstly the diagnosis may be false (and often proves to be
so). Secondly if I am dowsing
for something that relates to migraine then I am doing so with the conscious
expectation that migraine is a problem.
It’s not good for neutrality.
Normally the first thing I do is to dowse their age.
If I get within a year or so I feel I have locked onto them and they are
instantly intrigued. If I am a long way off it raises lots of issues.
In one case I was 12 years out and subsequently discovered that the woman
concerned had been pronounced dead around that time! She later recovered from
the brain tumour involved I
then dowse through a basic list of 142 things.
Of these, 96 are specific
nutrients in various areas of the body, e g calcium in bone.
The rest are indicators I have derived.
These indicators may also generate the need to look at food intolerances
and geopathic stress separately. The
majority of items are dowsed to a level on a semicircular scale.
I use half a dozen different scales on a regular basis.
Whenever possible, I avoid a simple yes/no answer.
Although this is the essence of basic dowsing I find it creates far more
mental tension than seeking some arbitrary value on a scale. Obviously, the
scale reading can be interpreted as
good or bad but I find the process more neutral.
For the same reason, I never dowse for a specific illness. It is too emotional and you can get into serious
trouble What it you are wrong? There are all sorts of negative issues.
What are you going to say to the person concerned in response to such
questions? In my opinion, doctors often underestimate the psychological effect
of making a statement to a patient Something
like "1 think you have cancer" (say) is an absolute no-no as far as I
am concerned. In any event, a
diagnosis is often little more than a name, even in medicine.
The name may have serious psychological significance, but often it is not
the actual problem itself. I
am more interested in the root causes than the name given to the symptoms.
In my engineering background, I have often had to analyse very complex
systems in such cases, you try to seek the simplest ‘model’ that will give
realistic results I have adopted a similar approach to the body.
The human body is the most complex system we know. With
billions of cells and distributed intelligence you are never going to tackle it
in the way it deserves. The
body has the most remarkable healing and problem solving mechanisms known to
man, but this all goes to waste if it does not have access to suitable resources
or is polluted by various toxins. Resources,
in the form of nutrients, I call the 'toolkit'.
Toxins are just that, things like heavy metals, damaging chemicals etc.
The basic aim of my dowsing is to check the toolkit is full of tools,
detect the presence of toxins, excesses of certain nutrients, intolerances etc.
Various indicators identity key problem areas and action is taken on the basis
of what I find. The result of this
never ceases to amaze me. Obviously,
there is no such thing as a 'cure all' but I am staggered by the diverse range
of problems that seem to respond. Many
are very serious illnesses that have failed to respond to all manner of
treatments, both conventional and otherwise.
Despite the apparent success, I never make any claims for what I do or
any promises. I only direct people
to other clients who explain what happened to them.
The results are of course anecdotal, but the more you see the more you
begin to realise that something important is going on.
Here are some examples.
CASE HISTORIES
In all the following cases
I have changed the client's name. However
all concerned would be willing to share their experience with serious
researchers if contacted through me.
Unless otherwise stated, you may assume that I knew nothing about the
person when I dowsed them initially.
IAN
Ian was a referral from a
homeopath. He is a middle aged university lecturer and management consultant.
Ian presented a complex picture with deficiencies of
22 different nutrients. There
were several nutrient excesses and numerous indicators suggested serious
problems with his digestive system. There
was considerable evidence of tissue repair (ammonia in blood glutamine in blood
etc.) so I suggested that he had digestive problems and injury or tissue damage
somewhere. Ian then explained
that he had ulcerative colitis. It
was very serious. He had been
treated by doctors/consultants for many years without success and had been told
he must have his bowel removed as soon as possible.
He had reacted badly to some of the drugs and had gone into a coma more
than once. In desperation he
had gone to the homeopath but she hadn't been able to help him and referred him
to me. Ian’s life was transformed in a matter of weeks.
One year on he has a personal trainer, is fitter than he has ever been
and has an allotment to help ensure his food quality.
He has had two short term relapses of a few days. one when he drank a
whole bottle of wine and one when he took a cough medicine that caused problems.
Lessons learnt!
This has been a life
changing experience for Ian and he attempted to discuss his experience with his
doctors. Sadly the reaction was very familiar "I'm glad you are so well,
but frankly I don’ t want to know” is how it was put to me.
JANE
Jane was a referral from a
homeopath. Jane is herself a
homeopath. I dowsed her and she
presented a healthy picture apart from a couple of nutrients and severe
geopathic stress. I suggested that
she might have varied problems and asked about her sleep.
She explained that she
couldn't sleep and suffered major headaches on an almost daily basis.
Doctors and homeopaths had failed to help over many years.
I dowsed her bedroom from a drawing and she was sleeping directly in a GS
line. I subsequently muscle tested her in the bedroom to
demonstrate this to her. Moving
the bed and replenishing the nutrients cured her problems until she went to stay
at her mother's in Italv for several weeks.
Subsequent tests showed she was again in a GS field and the problem was
quickly resolved.
PETER
Peter was referred by a
friend who unfortunately said to me, "He has had terrible migraines 3 or 4
a day for over 8 years. The
family's life is a misery”. Thus
I knew the apparent problem in advance.
Peter turned up and within minutes said he felt an attack coming on,
could he get his 'stuff. ' He then returned from his car with a 1 metre high
oxygen bottle plus facemask and a pile of drugs.
I had never seen anything like it before.
He was on a mixture of four different migraine/painkilling drugs and had
been for years. Having taken in
oxygen and several pills we were able to continue.
Given what I had been told,
I dowsed through my list of headache origins.
There are 17 in my list and I didn’t know what to think when I got a
firm No on migraine. Instead I had
Yes responses to toxic infective. hypoglycaemic and candida origins.
He was also deficient in 23 nutrients and had appalling gut chemistry.
Peter purchased what I suggested and a week after starting he had a day
without a headache. Within a month he had lost over a stone in weight and the
headaches were almost gone. It is
now 2 years since I first saw peter and he rarely gets a headache, typically
once every two or three months if he doesn’t watch what he drinks at the pub!
A case of medical misdiagnosis I’m afraid.
PATRICK
Patrick is in his early
sixties. We used to camp at his
farm in Cornwall in the late 1980’s and called to see him early in 2004.
Patrick was ill so before he could explain all the details I offered to
dowse him. He presented 17 nutrient
deficiencies, very low readings in relation to lung oxygen exchange,
cardiovascular function and blood purity. There
were also some Geopathic stress issues.
Patrick then explained that
he had been ill for a long time with a blood problem. His white blood cells were dying off almost as soon as they
were formed. He had been given two
lumbar punctures in an attempt to find a cause but doctors remained baffled.
He had to inject himself every day and have weekly checks on his blood
condition but his overall condition was getting worse.
I prescribed the necessary
supplements and after a few weeks I got a phone call to say that his test
figures were suddenly changing, to the point where his doctors had suspected
problems with their instrumentation. Within
two months all tests were showing normal and the need to inject had ceased.
Patrick has remained well for six months and no longer needs drugs.
Like Bob, he attempted to discuss his experience with this doctors but
they didn’t want to know about it.
RACER AND SUSAN
I am using ‘Racer’ as a
pseudonym for a well known sportsman competing in Grand Prix.
Susan is a university student studying music.
I put them together because they presented virtually identical pictures.
I dowsed Susan’s age as 19 years.
Apparently she is 18 years and a few months. Both presented the basic picture of healthy young people but
with a reasonable small number of deficiencies (12 and 7 respectively).
However, both included a combination involves Choline, Inositol, Omega 3
and Omega 6 fatty acids, together with Chromium.
In certain proportations, this produces serious fatigue.
Doctors often class chronic fatigue but in my experience it is not the
‘full blown’ fatigue that one would associate with an M.E. patient.
However it can easily progress to that if left unchecked.
Both actually had serious
fatigue. Racer had undergone
numerous medical tests but all proved negative.
They both recovered very quickly and in a matter of weeks Racer had
achieved two of his best ever results. He
attributes them entirely to his treatment, claiming that his is now able to
concentrate like never before during the latter stages of a race.
Susan is back at university and fully recovered.
LINDA
Linda was the first person
I helped by remote dowsing. To this
day I have never met her, only received lovely flowers and a big thank you.
Linda was a referral from another patient who lives in France.
When she phoned (having
been told not to give me details), it was just before I was due to go on holiday
so I said I couldn’t help for several weeks.
At this point she became rather upset and proceeded to tell me
everything.
Essentially, she was a
middle aged woman who had always looked after herself.
Then, early in the year, she had started to have problems with her
Achilles tendons becoming inflamed. Several
trips to the doctor and treatment with anit-inflammatories got nowhere and it
wasn’t long before she found herself
in a wheelchair. Under
the supervision of a hospital consultant, she had been having
physiotherapy several times a week but had made no progress.
It was now September and she was extremely worried.
Linda presented the picture
of a well woman apart from two things. Firstly,
she had massive levels of mercury and aluminium. Secondly she was seriously
short of nutrients the body uses to try eliminate such toxins, notably zinc and
selenium.
Much discussion followed
regarding possible sources of the metals but we didn’t really get anywhere
with that. Given homeopathic
antidotes for both metals and supplements as needed, she recovered more rapidly
that anyone could imagine. When I
phoned two weeks later her husband said she was not only out of the wheelchair,
she had gone for a walk and was contemplating returning to line dancing that
weekend. Suitably horrified, but
also delighted, I suggested she try a gentle swim instead.
In 15 months the problem has not returned.
MARTIN
As a final example, Martin
was probably the most reluctant ‘patient’ I have ever seen.
I solved a serious problem for his wife and she absolutely insisted that
I dowse him. He didn’t want to
know and said he had no problems. She
insisted he had and they were serious. It was all quite funny.
Very reluctantly, Martin
sat in front of me poker faced and arms folded.
By the time I had got half way through my list he still looked a picture
of health compared to most clients and I felt this was going to verify all his
opinions. However, he did present
extraordinarily low levels of Q10 in combination with certain B vitamins.
There was absolutely
nothing else, but I had seen this combination before, indeed I had experienced
the same problem myself. So I took
the only option I had and just said “I think your gums probably bleed.”
He went crackers. “You
told him!” etc. It turns out he
had quite serve gum bleeds to the point where the blood would get on the bed
linen. He had spent an absolute
fortune at the dentist to no avail.
Within two weeks his
problems were solved. It is nearly
3 years since I dowsed him and he has only had one or two very minor relapses
when he gets short of Q10 (he needs to supplement it regularly.)
The moment he corrects it the problems goes away.
SUMMARY
I hope these examples
illustrate some of the scope and capability of dowsing for health.
In the second part of this article I will explain how I arrived at
certain dowsing targets and discuss the experience that made me realise they
were indeed ‘dowsable’.
PART TWO
INTRODUCTION
In the first part of this
article, published in the March 2005 issue of Dowsing Today, I outlined briefly
what I do and gave a few case histories to illustrate the breadth of problems
that dowsing can help with. In this
second part, I want to focus on the reliability of various tests and how they
arrived at, but first a couple of general comments. Dowsing, health and nutrition are all incredibly diverse
areas. You could devote your life
to any one of them. When in pursuit of good health, dowsing is of limited use
without appropriate medical/nutritional knowledge.
However, I can say this
much. Firstly, you can only solve
problems if you can ask the right questions, hence the need for knowledge.
Secondly, you obviously can’t solve all problems, whatever your knowledge and
skills. Of the problems you can solve (and the range is surprising), the
following are generally true.
If a person is unwell and
is also exposed to significant amounts of geopathic stress, then the chances of
recovery are slim until the Geopathic stress has been negated.
If Geopathic stress is an issue, deal with that first.
If a person presents
significant food intolerances then these need to be dealt with or they will
inhibit, or at least slow, recovery. Intolerances
range from the medically accepted variety in which the immune system responds
dramatically, to much more subtle intolerances.
These are often disregarded by medicine but provide lots of good results
for kinesiologiests.
I actually use dowsing for
intolerances because it is much faster and can be done remote from the client.
It also offers certain advantages. If
you dowse for tolerance % on a scale (as opposed to intolerance), you will find
a range of tolerance values – typically 70% to 100% for which muscles are
rigid in a kinesiology test. You
will find another range, typically 0% to 40% for which the muscle goes weak.
Foods which generate mid
range values are difficult to assess with the muscle test but can still cause
problems if eaten in quantity. Thus
in general I identify major problems and also potential problems.
Where possible I check major ones by muscle testing.
So, let us assume that then
above issues have been looked at and concentrate on the reliability of dowsing
for nutrients, key indicators etc.
EARLY DAYS
The goal of every scientist
is to prove things beyond doubt. Anecdotal
evidence is not enough. Having spent most of my life ‘proving’ things it was
inevitable that I would approach dowsing in the same way.
I soon learned that a new set of ground rules was required.
Like most would-be dowsers,
I started with packs of playing cards, bundles of coins etc and managed to
convince myself that the laws of probability were alive and well! It can be very
depressing when you dowse a whole pack of cards for their colour and find that
about 50% are correct and 50% are incorrect. Only my personal experiences when I was ill (Part 1) kept me
going.
After a while I began to
notice other issues that became ever more important. The first occurred when I was trying to identify the origin
of 3 pistons that were randomly placed in blank boxes. One was Spanish, one British and one Japanese.
Taken over a large number
of tests, probability was doing well, but I noticed that I was much more likely
to be correct on the first test or two. The
response to a question like ‘Is the piston in this box made in Japan?’ was
much more clearly defined when I first started.
Long before I became ware of the subtleties of dowsing, I got the
impression that as you continued, the box appeared to adopt the imprint (or
whatever you want to call it) of all the pistons that had been placed in it.
I made a quantum leap in
progress once I discovered the work of the late T.C. Lethbridge, in particular
his use of pendulum rates. I also began to suspect that ‘the need to know’
was a major issue. Indeed it is.
At some point in my journey
I also realised that seeking proof could in itself be destructive. Dowsing is an
activity that involves very subtle mechanisms. The neuro-muscular actions that cause the pendulum to move
are minute and easily disturbed. Thus
I came to relate ‘tests’ to exams. Suppose
a student does some sums at home and the next day they appear on their exam
paper. Despite the familiarity, there is a definite tension in the exam
situation. They may have sweaty
fingers, They may become confused
mentally by what is crystal clear when seem away from the examination.
If you are a dowser being
‘tested’ you are likely to respond in exactly the same way and given the
subtle nature of what we are dealing with, a conventional test is often a recipe
for disaster, thus delighting the sceptics.
Of course, if I put my
scientific hat on, this becomes a lame excuse. But in fact it isn’t and over
the years I have amassed a lot of results that I term ‘delayed proofs’.
These delayed proofs have given me a great deal of confidence in certain
results. One or two could easily be
coincidences, but hundreds are unlikely to be.
As you will shortly read, if they are coincidences, some are very bizarre
ones.
DOWSING TARGETS
In order to dowse you need
a topic or target that is dowsable. Given
the mass of evidence related to geological dowsing, mineral seeking etc, it
seemed reasonable to me that physical substances were a good target to begin
with. Today, I use many targets
that wouldn’t have been acceptable to me years ago and I make great use of
‘maps’ in the form of drawings, scales and so on.
Whatever, I will now go back many years and explain some of the incidents
that gave me ever increasing belief in what I do. These days, I only need to look at what has happened to the
people I see but early on no such data existed. At that time, what I most needed
was some idea of what was ‘normal’ for a healthy person.
THE IRON AND THE CALCIUM
I began my quest to dowse
for nutrients with a very short list of minerals. Included in this list were iron and calcium.
As explained in Part 1, I dowse on a scale and after dowsing all my
family and a few friends many times it appeared that calcium normally gave a
value of +4 and iron gave a value of zero.
My early ideal, that all substances would give the same scale value when
‘normal’, had long since been abandoned.
I had dowsed these values
dozens of times and always got similar figures. Half of me concluded that these
were indeed ‘normal’ values. The
other half wondered if I simply kept getting what I now expected!
Then one day word of my
experiments reached a university professor.
I didn’t know him, but he was married to one of my wife’s work
colleagues and was interested in what I was doing. I was also told he was in very poor health, but no details.
So I visited him, explained
it was best it I didn’t know anything about him, and proceeded to dowse. This
time, iron came up as +4.5. I had
never seen such a number, so I tried again and got the same result.
I explained what I got and,
since it was a light hearted affair, made a comment to the effect that “he
looked like an iron bar compared to what I had seen so far!”
He looked startled and then
said, “That’s amazing. I have haemochromatsis and have to have iron drained
from my blood on a regular basis.” I
had never even heard of it but my delight was obvious.
Before I could do a little
dance, he asked what I got for calcium. “+4
I replied, that’s normal” Well, you’ve certainly got that wrong,” he
said, But before I could ask any questions he sat back in his chair and asked,
“But where is it?” Clever man.
As a result of this,
‘calcium’ became calcium overall, calcium in bone, calcium in blood and
calcium in tissue. The idea of
being able to dowse for specific locations seemed most unlikely but we tried and
he yielded +4, -5, +1 and +4 respectively.
This meant little until everyone else seemed to give +4, +4, 0 and 0.
It turned out that the professor had severe osteoporosis and a tendency
to kidney stones as well as his haemochromatosis.
In the same way, iron eventually evolved into iron as ferritin and iron
as haemoglobin.
THE PARASITES
We all have parasites in
the digestive system. Normally
these are helpful to us of benign but some unwanted parasites can cause major
health problems.
I was suspicious that this
might be an issue for one particular woman so I dreamed up a scale called
parasite percent. Everyone I dowsed
came close to 0% but this woman came up with 50%. Not knowing anything about them, I got a big medical book
that has a whole chapter on parasites. At
the front was a two page list of them so I proceeded to dowse through the list
and got a big “Yes” on just one of them.
On searching through the
chapter, I found it was in fact nothing to do with humans but was found in
horses. There the matter ended,
I had just been groping about in the dark really.
It only came to life a few weeks later when the woman began her
conversation with, “Even though I ran an equestrian centre for twenty years
---!”
But perhaps the most
telling encounter with ‘parasites’ came recently.
Actually I was set up, though I didn’t know it at the time.
My homeopath phoned and said could I dowse her daughter (about whom I
knew nothing).
When the daughter phoned, I
dowsed her age and got 26 years. She
is 25 years and four months. She
knew not to give me clues but I wanted to talk to her because I use voice as a
‘sample’ for remote dowsing. So
I asked if the problem would be regarded as serious (yes), had she seen a doctor
(yes) and what did she do for a living. In
fact she had just returned from a one year ‘walkabout’ in Australia.
For some reason I then said, “ I hope you haven’t bought something
back from Australia.” I don’t know why I said it but she laughed and said,
“Perhaps.”
So I dowsed her and got
readings I have never seen before. In
general the numbers were wonderful but she was extremely short of iodine,
molybdenum and a couple of B vitamins. The big scare was parasite percent: 98%
had me seriously worried.
I phoned her back and said
I hadn’t seen anything like this before.
In my opinion, it looked like she had brought back some serious parasite,
the like of which I couldn’t imagine. She said she had. She was seven weeks pregnant!
Not only that, she had a craving for seafood.
We have had a lot of laughs
about this and my lists now have pregnant? next to parasite percent.
In addition, I now know how vital iodine is in the early stages of
pregnancy (lack of it can lead to deformities in the child), as is molybdenum.
USEFUL INDICATORS
The many indicators I use
include one for urinary function and one for reproductive function.
One day, I dowsed a man I hadn’t seen since we were children.
He is in his late fifties.
During the session I got
some very strange results. There
was suggestion of a skin problem but more worrying were the two indicators
mentioned. Both values were but a
small fraction of what I was used to seeing.
In these situations you
have to be very careful what you say and how you say it, but I found some way of
getting it across and asked if he had any explanation.
He looked very shocked but it turned out that he was shocked by what I
had detected, not the problem itself.
He had had testicle cancer
and wasn’t going to father any more children.
They had also removed a growth the size of a small orange from his
bladder. Furthermore he had a skin
problem, that was the reason for me
being there apparently.
While this was another
great ‘delayed proof’ of the system, I’m sorry to say I couldn’t sort
out his skin problem. Given that he
had spent nearly 30 years trying to solve it and had seen every specialist
imaginable, I suppose I shouldn’t feel too bad about it but we all like to get
a good result.
FREQUENCY
Many dowsers will ne
familiar with what we might term ‘earth vibrations’ but at this stage I was
not. Nevertheless, I had seen
various references to frequency. At
the time, I had some health problems of my own and, looking for anything that
might be useful, decided to dowse for ‘my frequency’.
This turned out to be 160Hz. But
my wife gave a result around 8Hz
and so did my eldest daughter. My
youngest daughter gave 55Hz. A few
more friends were around 8Hz as well.
Despite numerous references
in dowsing books nothing ever specific and I got more and more irritated by it.
Frequency of what? Then I had a “eureka” moment.
Drawing on my science background, I began to wonder if superimposing a
low frequency vibration on my body would alter the values I got.
Now you knoe why people thought I was nuts!
I reasoned that I could do
this by bouncing on a mini trampoline (which I happen to have).
So, I dowsed my frequency, bounced for a couple of minutes and dowsed
again, Amazingly, the value
dropped from 160Hz to 40Hz. Fifteen
minutes later it was up to 120Hz and soon returned to 160Hz again.
So I did it again and again.
Everyone who dared to set
foot on the house was dowsed for frequency, then ordered to bounce on the
trampoline and dowsed again (how to win friends etc). Without exception all results were affected and all returned
to normal, though by now it was obvious that 8Hz was normal.
Of course, these results
could all be wishful thinking. But
suddenly I got a breakthrough. A
book reference to Schumann frequency sent me rushing to Google and up popped
NASA website. It explained that the
fundamental Schumann frequency (7.8HZ) was crucial to human life on earth and
that when astronauts went away from the earth special generators were used to
lock them into it. Without this,
their frequency would rise and detrimental gut constituents would then flourish.
From there I went to the
University of Georgia site which explained the earth’s vibration modes in more
detail and it wasn’t long before I realised that my 160Hz value was related to
what turned out to be an overgrowth of candida albicans in my gut.
This frequency, which I
knew so little about when I started, is a most powerful indicator.
If it presents high you can be sire there are problems.
Most commonly, these will be in the gut, but not always.
I use other tests to find the origin of the problem.
TISSUE REPAIR
I met Angela (not her real
name) when we were away fell walking. We
stayed in the same hotel. I made
some nutrition related comments at breakfast and she latched onto me like glue.
I told her o dowsed and that was it.
“Please dowse me. I have a
good reason.” So I did.
I said I would try to dowse
her age but that I wasn’t particularly good at it. In these early days I just used a list of ages.
I now have better methods. She
literally screamed when I got her age exactly right.
But I was more interested
in other indicators that I was just developing, particularly for gluamine (in
blood and muscle) and ammonia. I
had based these indicators on the medical side of tissue repair and had got some
good results. The body stores
glutamine in muscle. When you have
a wound and tissue is rapidly being repaired, ammonia is a byproduct that enters
the bloodstream. The body then
dumps glutamine into the blood stream. The
body then dumps glutamine and ammonia in blood, with little glutamine left in
storage.
So, I suggested that she
had a wound that was healing, and probably quite a significant one.
Other than that the results were excellent apart from a handful of
minor deficiencies.
Her delight said it all.
She did indeed have a wound. She
still had the stitches in and had only left hospital a few days previously.
She was in the hotel for a rest. She
was also in good health but was having a problem getting pregnant and wondered
if nutrition was an issue. It was but that’s another story.
TESTING
I hope these examples
illustrate the way in which I have come to trust my results.
To the sceptic they are just coincidences but I could provide many more
of a similar nature. I am not pedantic about it, perhaps many are incorrect, but I
am sure that the overall picture I get from the numerous figures is
representative. It certainly helps
a lot of people to get well, or at least the evidence strongly suggests that-see
Part 1.
Direct testing poses many
issues which I touched on earlier. If
the purpose if the dowsing is not driven by genuine healing motives, the results
are likely to be erroneous. I
believe this can be true even if the dowser is unaware of the true (testing)
purpose of the session.
In fact, I do have one
result where I went head-to-head with a blood pressure monitor and got both
systolic and diastolic values correct within two points.
The difference here was that the client had no idea I would attempt to
dowse such values. It was only when
I told him afterwards that he rushed out and returned with the instrument.
Situations like this are
priceless, but rare.
SUPPLEMENTS
Just a quick comment on
supplements. For good results you
must assume absolutely nothing and dowse everything. If a person is deficient in say 20 nutrients they may only
need to take four or five. The
others will restore automatically. You
have to dowse whether the person needs each one, you have to dowse the daily
dose and the duration. Some
supplements such as vitamin E are best ramped up over time.
You dowse for the ramping rate.
In addition, a specific
product must always be checked for acceptability. Supplements are no means immune from the profit driven
motives of the food industry. Many
on the high street are very dubious and contain ingredients that render then
ineffective for certain people.
Knowledge is essential.
For example, you might find yourself suggesting a number of supplements
that are in gelatin capsules. Gelatin
is am excellent source fatigue. You
will probably cure one problem and create another!
The dowser’s work is never done.
SUMMARY
I hope this two part
article will stimulate general interest and above all encourage new dowsers to
persist with whatever area interest them. In
my experience, you are entering a sphere of activity for which the
apprenticeship is a lifetime. Every
time I encounter a different problem I learn something I didn’t know before.
Sadly, the knowledge sometimes doesn’t accumulate fast enough to help
the individual who first initiated the search.
Finding the right questions
is the big issue. With chronic
fatigue patients, there is a group for who every single result can be normalised
but they make absolutely no improvement. I
am missing something important and my inability to find it is frustrating.
The problem is you have so much to choose from, much of which may be
mentally driven.
I was of course fortunate
to encounter an outstanding dowser when I had M.E. I’m not sure I could have
got this far without the belief that experience gave me. No-one can ever take that experience from you.
However, I hope my own work encourages others to make the effort.

Two British Skiers
feared dead on an ice bound mountain were rescued by a WATER DIVINER. Pensioner
Georg Horak saved the lives of Steve Swibdhurst and Ian Middleton by precisely
picking the spot where they were huddled in a snow hole.
Using a 10-inch long
piece of wire and a map, he directed rescuers 4000ft up the Bavarian Alp where
the two men where lost. Steve, 26 and Ian, 25, a carpet firm boss, had dug a
shelter with their bare hands. But the odds were against them.
A five-hour hunt had
failed to find them. And hope was fading as the freezing night wore on. In the
nearby village of Oberamergau, Herr Horsck, 73, heard of the emergency on the
local radio and began directing the rescue. He held the wire in his left hand
and suspended it over the map until it pointed to the spot. Then he phoned his
finding to rescuers who went strait to the place and found the freezing skiers.
Back home in
Aylesbury, Bucks, the two friends where unaware of the role of the diviner until
a German TV company told them. Estate agent Steve said: “that’s quite
amazing. Another three or four hours and we might not have survived” Herr
Horst’s wife Anna said last night: “it’s a gift he was born with. “The
wire swung to and fro over a certain point. He knew that was the spot where the
two English men were stuck”

In recent years, more
and more work has been done, and more and more people have become involved in
dowsing for earth energies. Consequently a lot more information has been
gathered, and new discoveries have been made.
At one time, it was enough to get an O.S. map, mark out the ancient sites
and join them with straight lines, and then take our rods out to confirm that
the lines were really there. At that time, “ Ley lines “ were the in thing,
but as time progressed, dowsers found that the same points were joined by other
lines which did not necessarily go in straight lines. These meandering lines
became known as “ dowsable energy lines “, or “ D.E.L.’s “.
Then along came Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurst with their discovery of
the now famous “ Michael and Mary Lines “.
Work has also progressed on the nature and form of the energy lines.
Originally lines were thought of as straight, then meandering. As single
lines, then multiples of three. Then spiral energies were found, and now coil
energies have also been added to the list.
Much has been learnt about the polarities of the lines, e,g,
beneficial/harmful, male/female, and so on.
All of these discoveries have been made using the simplest of tools,
including ( often home-made )
pendulums and dowsing rods. But perhaps the most important tool used by any
dowser is the QUESTION.
We are all taught that whatever tool we may use, it will only answer the
questions we ask. Therefore those questions must be clear and unambiguous.
However, asking unambiguous questions is not always that straightforward, and
mistakes can be made. The story that follows is a personal experience which
demonstrates that sometimes a mistake like this can lead to a new discovery.
PLOTTING
THE LINES
Like many dowsers, I
have O.S. maps of my local area (
Dorset ) to which I have added Ley lines by highlighting the usual features and
joining them up with a straight -edge. Then
along came “ The Sun and the Serpent “, which captured my imagination and
set me thinking. The first thought I had was that this cannot be an isolated
incident - there had to be others.
I began by holding a pendulum over a map of ancient Britain upon which
ancient sites are given prominence. I then made my first mistake by asking the
wrong question. I had in mind that I was looking for pairs of lines which flowed
in serpentine fashion, crossing over each other continually, and so this is what
I asked for -- where there other pairs of lines which behaved in the same way as
the Michael and Mary lines? I got a
very firm “ Yes “. It did not
occur to me at the time that there could be other variations on the same theme.
Even worse, I did not discover this mistake until much later, when I
superimposed the Michael and Mary lines on my own findings and saw that I had
found something very different. However,
completely oblivious to this, I continued.
The map suggested several possibilities. I was drawn to one which ran the
length of the country. It was attractive to me because there was a lot of it,
and it also passed just a few miles from my home.
My pendulum told me this was exactly what I was looking for, and I began
to plot the pair of lines by map dowsing. As with the Michael and Mary lines,
this one passed through some well known places, including Arbor Low in
Derbyshire, and Pilsdon Pen in Dorset ( the highest hill fort in England ),
which is also close to my home.
When I went there to check it out with a colleague, Kingsley Bennet (
also a member of the Wessex Dowsers ), we found that Pilsdon Pen is a very busy
place with respect to energy lines. Not only did we find that the two lines we
were looking for crossed over at this point, but so did several others.
Among them was another pair which also crossed over here but travelled in
an East/West direction. When I
plotted this new pair on a map, I found that they passed through Cerne Abbas and
Badbury Rings, They were also going
to be easier to investigate.
These were the events which led to a sizeable map-dowsing exercise in
which I went in search of all the serpentine pairs in Dorset, of which there are
many. Working in my local area made
it easy to check my findings as I went along.
It was also at this point that I plotted the Michael and Mary lines and
found that I had been plotting lines of a
smaller scale, nowhere near as grand as this famous pair.
Perhaps it was the large number of lines that I was plotting during the
map-dowsing part of the exercise that made me sloppy with my questions and blasé
about finding the next one. The question I asked was “ O.K., where’s the
next energy line ? “ The outcome
was the discovery of a completely new feature which is incredibly complex and
the real subject of this paper.
I began plotting a new line near Abbotsbury, and followed a gentle curve
just like all the other lines. But
the curve went on without reversing, and I found myself plotting a line which
kept going round and eventually joined up with itself, revealing an oval shaped
feature on the map covering several square miles of territory. At first, I thought I had made a mistake, but the pendulum
was insistent. I asked if there
were others like this and got a “ Yes “.
I then found another eight on the two O.S. maps I was using at the time.
( I have since map-dowsed over a much larger area).
Never having seen anything like this before, I had to know what I had
found. Of the nine I had found, the most convenient was the one which went
through Cerne Abbas. I drove to the place where this line crossed a straight,
but remote country lane. This meant
I would not to have to cross private land or ask permission.
My rods showed me that the line was there all right, but the real shock
was the scale of it. It took nearly
ninety paces to walk across the thickness of the line. ( I have not found one of these features yet where the
thickness of the line is less than seventy paces. )
It also appears that the thickness of the line is constant at all points
around the oval. This feature was now to get a lot of attention.
THE
NATURE OF THE BEAST
Before getting more involved, I needed confirmation that I was not
deluding myself, so I asked Kingsley Bennet to accompany me to the site to see
if he could find anything there.
He
found the line exactly where I had found it, and confirmed its thickness.
Over several visits, we
found that we had uncovered a very complex feature which works on several levels
( perhaps of different frequencies ).
We began by asking the standard questions. For instance, when we looked
for multiples of three, we found it to have nine lines in three groups of three
across its thickness, the central three being much thicker than those outside
them.
We then found that at another level we encountered six bands; the outer
bands being five paces wide and the four inner bands being twenty paces wide.
Also the polarity reversed as we went from band to band.
While this was very confusing, we were in fact getting closer to finding
the basic structure of this feature. It
now appears to be composed of lines, coils and spirals, as well as eddy currents
set up by the movement of the energies. It
also has symmetry.
The easiest way to describe its structure is to say that if one walks
across its thickness, one first encounters three lines, about five feet apart.
This is followed by sixteen coils, about four feet apart and connected by
spirals. One then encounters three
more lines, just like the first three (
see Fig.2 ).
With the triple lines on the outside and inside of the feature, each line
flows in the reverse direction to the one before. The flow in each line sets up
spiralling eddy currents, which thus far seem to be in a clockwise direction.
These eddy currents, while easily detected, should not be confused with
the spiral and coil energies in the central section.
The central section can best be thought of by visualising the springs of
a mattress- row after row of coils - in this case, sixteen rows of coil
energies. As one progresses from
row to row, the direction of spin reverses, i.e.
Row 1 - anticlockwise, Row 2 - clockwise, Row 3 - anticlockwise, and so
on. The rows are also connected by spiral energies. Those in Row 1 are connected
to those in Row 2 by a spiral energy which is “ S “ shaped ( see
Fig.3 ).
The final point to make is that this 90-pace thick wall goes down into
the earth and straight up, according to the pendulum and rods, into space.
Thus the whole oval feature can be seen as a giant tube coming out of, or
going into the earth.
These findings have also been confirmed now by Paul Craddock
( B.S.D. and Wessex Dowsers ), whom I took to the site and watched while
he worked. His findings were the same as ours.
NOW
WHAT?
The big question now is - what are these features? Those who have looked
at them agree that they are not man-made. At first glance there are no landscape
differences between the encircled territory and that outside. Also at first
glance, the scatter of these oval features is not uniform, i.e. Dorset has
thirteen of them, Somerset only has four ( Fig 1 ).
Several questions have been asked about these oval features. For instance, do they encircle some significant site, like a
stone circle or a hill fort? In the
sense of “ is it a dot with a ring round it? “, the answer has to be
“ No “. A few of the
features do have a site within their boundary, but hardly ever centrally
situated. Nor does the line itself have to pass through an ancient site. The
line of one of the ovals in Dorset passes through the Roman encampment next to
the Cerne Abbas Giant, but the only thing on the line of another one, containing
no significant sites at all, is a single tumulus.
As to their purpose, several suggestions have been made. At the one extreme, it has been suggested that they are some
sort of anomaly in the space-time continuum.
I confess I have difficulty with this one. I am happier with the
suggestion that they may be some sort of “ blow-hole “
- a means whereby excess
energies from inside the earth can escape without causing earthquakes,
volcanoes, etc.
It is hoped that those who
read this paper may be inspired to check out their own areas.
A
lecture given
by Carl Upton, L.D.S.(Birm.), M.I.Psi.Med. At Chandos Street on 31/5/78
“Thirty
years of Nationalised Health Service has accustomed the public to regard doctors
primarily as signers dispensing prescriptions and certificates on demand without
time-wasting investigations.” So read a recent leader in a national newspaper.
This
seems to epitomise the modern dilemma which confronts doctors and public alike
and underlies the dissatisfaction apparent in the Service. How has such a
situation arisen? And what is the solution?
Many
reasons have been advanced to explain the malaise but, fundamentally, there
seems little doubt that the over-riding emphasis on effects rather than causes
has led to the problem. Medical practice is almost exclusively occupied with the
suppression of symptoms. It ignores causes.
Diagnostic
techniques based on scientific method often make dramatic headlines. But what is
not realised is that such diagnosis relates to effect rather than cause.
Investigations into the minute detail of the metabolic process refer to effects.
They bear no relationship to the cause which produced the abnormality.
Treatment
based on the findings is quite ineffective in removing causes and indeed may
create hazards for the patient, since symptoms are nature’s way of dealing
with fundamental constitutional imbalance. Traditional medicine has always
recognised that nature should be assisted, and treatment to eliminate the basic
cause of illness is the intelligent means to this end.
In
the removal of constitutional causes of disease the art of medicine plays the
dominant role. And this depends upon a well- developed instinctive and intuitive
sense. Naturally, scientific laws must be followed, but medicine based solely on
results revealed by contemporary scientific method to the exclusion of the art
can lead only to chaos.
The
fundamental cause and the predisposition to most ills, especially those of a
chronic nature, lies in a disturbance of the “vital dynamis” or the
“etheric body”. It does not lie, as is usually supposed in orthodox
medicine, in the chemical or the physical structure of the organism. That is the
region of effects or symptoms.
Diagnosis
in depth requires perception of the vital component. And treatment must be
capable of influencing this subtle dynamis.
These
facts led Laurence to seek an alternative approach to his medical practice. He
realised that he had arrived at no understanding of the cause of the chronic
conditions he was daily called upon to treat. He did not know why the people who
came to him for help were
ill.
When the full impact of this realisation came upon him he determined to
search for the means to discover the causes of the disabilities his patients
suffered over the years and of which neither he nor his medical contemporaries
had any knowledge. At the same time he sought appropriate treatment which would
remove the causative factors when they were determined. He concluded also that
treatment related to basic causes must of necessity be treatment of the patient
as a whole, whereas treatment devoted to symptoms must be delegated to
specialists whose main concern was salvage. Indeed, the preamble to the Charter
of the World Health Organisation states that health is not merely the absence of
disease but involves a positive sense of well_being in the individual. Positive
well-being is, in fact, not possible until the basic causes of disease are
removed.
The
Hindu philosophy known as the Nyaya Vaiseka, the concern of which is the
scientific nature of the universe, presents an approach to nature based on an
interweaving of energy patterns inherent in creation rather than on crystallised
sense objects or matter. It is said that subtle sense energies inherent in the
universe are responsible for the building of the sense organs, through which
they express themselves in the world. Thus it is the subtle inner and dynamic
sense of sight which induces the process that builds the organic mechanism which
constitutes the optic apparatus. It would follow from this that the organ so
constructed would, as it vibrates, radiate energy, the reflections of which from
the diverse matter of the universe produce the experience of seeing. In the same
way the inner dynamic sense of hearing, touch, taste and smell build the organ
associated with the outer auditory, tactile, gustatory and olfactory functions.
It
raises many interesting and fundamental questions. It indicates the existence of
subtle dynamic energy fields associated with living function which are outside
the experience of ordinary sense perception. From this it is logical to take the
step to the notion that behind the symptoms and the organic tissues there could
be dynamic energy fields capable of producing organic change of a deranged
nature. Looked at in another way, it could be that subtle disease energies exist
which actually need certain organic crystallisations in order that they may
express themselves in the outer world in the same way as the subtle sense
energies need physical organs through which they express themselves outwardly in
the familiar way. In other words, organic manifestations of disease may occur as
a result of dynamic energies which require a material
outlet in the context of the meaning and purpose of creation
According
to Plotinus: “Whatsoever comes into being is of the silent vision that belongs
to me by nature who, sprung from vision, am vision-loving and create the objects
of contemplation by the vision_seeing faculty within me, as mathematicians from
their vision draw their figures. I gaze and the figures of the material world
take being as if they fell from my contemplation.”
Or,
in the words of the Srimad Bhagavatum: “Creation is only the projection into
form of that which already exists.”
It
would seem that the orthodox scientific view of medicine takes too limited a
view of the nature of the organism and its function. Its starting point is the
crystallization and it may well be apposite to remind ourselves that no less a
scientific authority than Sir James Jeans said that matter was crystallised
energy. Medical science ignores the dynamic energy fields inherent in the
crystallisation—the bio-dynamic energy which produces, maintains and destroys
the material manifestation. Homoeopathy and Psionic Medicine are both concerned
with this bio-dynamic energy: what Hahnemann called the “vital dynamis.” The
quantitative aspects of the organic crystallisation are accessible to
measurement and comparison by sense perception and scientific technique. The
subtle dynamic energies of life, being of a qualitative nature, are not. Only
their effects are amenable to quantitative analysis and statistical computation.
These subtle energies constitute the real nature of the individual and lend
meaning to individual life.
Both
Hahnemann and Laurence directed their attention to the vital energies but they
did it in different ways. Laurence realised that a more subtle and direct form
of perception was necessary to diagnosis and prescription at this level. He
found it in the faculty associated with dowsing. By making use of this
additional perceptive mechanism inherent in animal life and by using it with the
special power of discrimination present in human life—in effect, methodically
in relation to his medical knowledge and experience at clinical level—he was
able to penetrate deeply into the chain of cause and effect concerned with the
production of symptoms and ultimately with their removal by rendering their
presence unnecessary.
The
question may arise: Why disease? Why is the projection of the vital creative
energy fraught with distortions or apparent distortions? One answer that is
given is that nature requires distortion for its own purpose. Perhaps to the
individual it may be the goal and incentive towards the striving for perfection?
It may be that which sharpens perception and sensitivity and thus makes possible
the deeper contemplation of nature and ultimately the reality behind it? Or it
may be seen in terms of influences. One form of life may influence another. One
form of life may influence another. One
form of life may cast a shadow upon another and through the consequent
limitation of vision the potential projection into the world of matter
distorted.
There
can be no doubt that micro-organic life when in association in a particular way
with human life can influence the bio-dynamic energy field. This influence
increases the density of the Vital dynamis and thus restricts the Vital
potential available to molecules, cells, tissues and organs and to the organism
as a whole. And this quite naturally manifests as disease at clinical level.
Hahnemann
inhis Organon said: “In the healthy condition of man the spiritual vital
force, the dynamis that animates the material body . . . maintains all parts of
the organism in harmonious operation. When a person falls ill it is because this
vital force, everywhere present in his organism, has become deranged by the
influence of some morbific agent inimical to life.”
The
techniques of Psionic Medicine are able to demonstrate in definite terms both
the degree and distribution of the vital imbalance caused by miasmic or acquired
toxic influences. They can also indicate the agent causing the imbalance, and
malefic influences may be superseded, one of the ways being in the use of the
so-called homoeopathic potencies.
Lest
it should be assumed from what has been said that Psionic Medicine holds the key
to all ills, it must be emphasised that its primary concern is with
predispositions to disease__-coflStitUtioflal predisposition in the individual.
In any rational treatment account has to be taken not only of these inherent
constitutional tendencies to chronic disease but also of trigger or
precipitating factors which produce the actual symptoms. The state of the
material environment, both physical and psychological, itself constitutes an
influence—an influence on the materiality with which the vital dynamis is
associated. A Ming vase or an earthenware pot are as dependent on the clay as on
the skill and understanding of the potter.
It
would seem that three factors have to be borne in mind if health is to be
achieved. Predispositions to chronic disease arising out of malefic influences
on the individual vital dynamis must be identified and removed. Consideration
must be given to the state of the environment with a view to the avoidance as
far as possible of toxic factors which lower the quality of food, air and
psychological impressions. And, last but not least, is the need always to strive
for increased sensitivity and awareness of ourselves and of the world in which
we live and have our being.
But
how can we know the state of the subtle body? Can it be assessed in the physical
or chemical laboratory? Can it be evaluated by established methods of clinical
diagnosis? It would seem not, for these relate only to the
electro-chemic-physical organism. Life slips, as it were, through the filter.
We
are all familiar with perception at ordinary sense level, (although that may
have become so habitual and mechanical that we are no longer aware of it). And
we are familiar with the fact that by means of this perception it is possible to
discern the actions and interactions of the organic functions and their
relations with the outer world. Such perception and activity takes place at the
level of the electro-chemico-physical energies, the sense organs. To go deeper
than this—into the activity of the subtle vital dynamis—requires another
order of perception. And it is this order of perception that is made use of in
Psionic Medicine.
The
power to dowse is the power to perceive activity and functional relationships at
the etheric level. Every dowser knows that time and distance are no obstacle to
his art. He may dowse at a few inches or ten thousand miles and in a moment of
time. It makes no odds.
This
is because the ether is an energy system which spans and permeates the whole
earth and constitutes a total entity. And in this it differs from the
fragmentary nature of sense perception in relation to the objects of physical
nature.
In
simple terms, imbalance in any energy system may be said to involve changes of
density. Energy, like matter, may be coarse or fine. If it is either too coarse
or too fine for the purpose in hand then a state of imbalance or stress must
occur in the functional activity associated with the system.
Consideration
of the relationship between a “steady state dynamic force field” and the
flow of energy or current that may be induced within the field under given
circumstances may give some indication of the relationship between the vital
dynamis and the biological energy flux associated with all organic function.
Variations in the “field” lead to variations in function. So it is important
to know the state of the former if right functional corrections are to be
achieved. Modifications of the kinetic energy flow regardless of the state of
the dynamic force field can never lead to definitive results.
Disturbances
in the vital dynamis either increase or decrease the density of the etheric
body. Such changes are reflected in the tissues as a tendency to congestion or
inflammation. But both processes may be in evidence concurrently since the
tissues exist in the state of flux. Essentially the object is to identify and
remove the causes of the underlying density change producing harmful effects. As
a medical colleague remarked: “This seems to be a law of life: change
something in a patient, and the circumstances change with it. So I think you
have hit upon a most important in-depth method and I must encourage you to keep
going.” Health is, after all, a harmonious blend of environmental function and
essential nature—the two held in balance and right relationship by the vital
dynamis, “that in which I live and move and have my being.”
The
etheric body may be influenced by a number of factors:
Cellular
chemistry.
Acquired
micro-biological toxic states.
Inherited
micro-biological toxic states.
Intrinsic
or extrinsic personality states.
In
diagnosis each level requires investigation and where necessary correction. This
involves a wide spectrum of observation and therapy. Referring to an American
cancer investigator, a Dutch consultant wrote: “She saw a lot of long-living
and formerly hopeless cancer patients. She was most impressed, and the last
evening I arranged a lecture which related several (a rather bewildering array
of) healing methods. Through this analysis she suddenly seemed to realise the
unique and important place of etheric healing. And why patients with all
vitamins, minerals and enzymes in the right place still could go on a downward
course because the etheric body was full of scars.”
Over
the past ten years and some thirty thousand case analyses using the techniques
of Psionic Medicine and involving patients from all over the world, it has
become increasingly clear that what is called for is truly Comprehensive Health
Service. Health service capable of spanning the whole range of influences upon
the organism which are by their nature liable to cause ill-health.
Soil,
methods of husbandry, pollution of food, water and atmosphere. The basic needs
of the body for activity and work and of the mind for meaningful occupation
according to individual nature. These must be taken into account.
It
is not sufficient only to study and remove the micro-biological toxins that can
influence the vital dynamis and cause disease, although this is very important.
The very nature of the individual must be studied in a sensitive way, both as
regards outer functions and inner potential. So, one might say, Comprehensive
Health Service embraces the whole of the human situation from its earthly base
to the heights of its inner aspirations for fulfillment, understanding and
wholesome living.
To
summarjse, Psionic Medicine does not aim to provide symptomatic treatment either
by suppression or control at superficial organic level. Its purpose is to
provide conditions in which all inhibitions on vital forces are removed, thereby
releasing to the organism the necessary vital energy basic to healthy organic
function and expression. Because of its simplicity and the fact that it does not
require extensive use or abuse of natural resources—it has no need for animal
experimentation, vivisection or other wasteful and costly procedures—it is
both economical and humane.
Impersonal
laboratory techniques, delegated to mechanical procedures which have no relation
to life processes as such, are quite superfluous. Painful and disfiguring
diagnostic procedures, which are now commonplace in orthodox medicine and which
engender fear and distrust and in many cases outright antagonism, are totally
unnecessary in Psionic Medical diagnosis.
Drugs
are not used and therefore the dangers and side-effects inherent in chemotherapy
are absent. Equally radiotherapy plays no part in treatment and the dangers from
this source are eliminated. The incidence of iatrogenic or treatment-caused
disease is removed.
Perhaps
of even more profound significance is the fact that Psionic Medicine takes
account of the spiritual aspects of human life as well as the physical. It
treats the individual and not isolated physical tissues and organs, often with
total disregard of the patient as a living, feeling and intelligent human being.
Psionic Medicine regards the care of the sick as an art as well as a science and
thus needs to rely on human sensitivity as playing an important role in both
diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. Psionic Medicine, in fact, has as its aim
the practice of “holistic medicine.”
Since
the basic cause of most chronic and degenerative illness exists at birth or
before, Psionic Medical diagnosis undertaken early is true preventive medicine.
And Psionic Medical treatment is the treatment of choice before major symptoms
become established. Ideally every child should undergo simple routine Psionic
Medical surveillance at an early age. And if vital imbalances are present they
can be dealt with homoeopathically quite simply and with no inconvenience to the
child. It is equally important, if infections are acquired, that any toxic
residues are identified and removed without delay, or these may give rise to
chronic illness in later years, and in some cases may be transmitted to future
generations.
Psionic
Medicine is essentially first resort, not last resort, medicine. It is not
intended to be approached when all else has failed, even though at this late
stage something can often be salvaged. But long-standing symptoms and extended
treatment with drugs means that irreparable damage may have occurred. This makes
the task of the Psionic Medicine practitioner so much more difficult, and the
prospect of cure more remote.
It
is said of the ancient tradition of Egyptian wisdom that health care was in the
hands of doctor-priests. Perhaps this is the direction in which we should
endeavour to move towards the future.

We found new megalith, say dowsers
Welcome to this edition of my newsletter. I have some more interesting articles and pictures for you. Following on from our discovery of the fallen standing stone at Knowlton, British Archaeology magazine have published an article in their September /October magazine which I have reproduced for this edition. Students had another enjoyable day at Knowton on the Earth Energies and Geopathic stress courses a couple of weeks ago with some good weather. Due to popular demand there is another dowsing for beginners course running on October 22nd and 23rd and a Dowsing for Health Course running on November 12th and 13th details below.
Did you have a good holiday? This year I went to the Lake District and visited a water fall and got some amazing pictures of “orbs” I noticed them on my digital camera, then aimed it again and took another picture this time asking them to “show them selves” that’s when I got a red aura around them. See the pictures at the end of the newsletter!
The next Wessex Dowsers Meeting is next Monday 19th September at the URC Hall in Wareham 7.30pm. David Kingston will be talking about remote viewing. Visitors are welcome.
Dowsing can be used to find lost objects and people, this on can be difficult, but there is a dowsing technique, which is relatively unknown but is extremely reliable. Those of you who have taken the dowsing for beginners course should be using it! See dowsing the PSI track in this edition

Dowsers tracking an “energy line” at a
neolithic henge at Knowlton, Dorset
have found a stone they believe may
once have been standing. Thought to
be about the same age as Avebury and
Durrington Walls, Wiltshire
(c2500—z000Bc), the four smaller
Knowlton henges have been little
investigated.
Paul Craddock was directing a
Bournemouth adult education dowsing
course in May, when a student exposed
a rectangular slab around im by ~ocm
inside the Church Henge, the only one
surviving as a substantial earthwork
(named after a ruined Norman church
at its centre). Craddock, also trained in
hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and
handwriting analysis, says a second
stone lies close by, and both may be
part of a circle or avenue of further
stones.
A technical officer from English
Heritage noted that a little poorly
established turf had been pulled back,
and though they would be contacting
the dowsers, it was unlikely harm had
been done.John Gale, school of
conservation sciences, Bournemouth
University, and director of research in
the area, says the stone may have been
dressed. It appears not to be local
heathstone, but a foreign sarsen.
In 2000 archaeologists learnt from
the farmer that two stones had been
ploughed out from the larger Southern
Henge, immediately to the
south, some
30 years before. They were examined
and thought to be heathstone. One
(cim by óocm) had pecked into it four
concentric rings, one of only two cases
of “megalithic art” of this type yet seen

Have
Swedish psi-researchers discovered something very important - a repeatable
experiment?
Introduction
When a person concentrates vividly on a physical object in his
surroundings, a "psi-track" seems be established to the object.
This track can be detected by dowsing.
What is a thought? An idea
or a mental image, which appears in a mind and perhaps leads to action? Yes,
that might be the answer. But the
notion that thought may have an extension in the surrounding space may be
something concrete and measurable, does not belong to our usual ideas about how
the world is structured. But
Swedish parapsychological experiments suggest that this may actually be the
case.
The
discovery of the psi-track
It is now over ten years since the so-called psi-track was discovered in
1987. The psi-track is the
measurable track of a directed thought. Since
the first experiment was done, some Swedish researchers have performed a series
of experiments, which have been intentionally published.
Dr. Nils 0. Jacobson and Dr. Jens A. Tellefsen wrote a report, which won
the first prize in a parapsychological contest in England and was subsequently
published in one of the leading parapsychological journals, the English Journal
of the Society for Psychical Research January 1994.
In Sweden. the first full-size book about the experiments with the psi-track
has been published. It is written
by Gote Andersson, a painter. who originally discovered the psi-track.
One day in 1987, when Gote visited his father, Arthur Andersson, he asked
him to try to detect the human aura around himself by means of a dowsing rod.
He had read in a magazine that this could actually be done.
Arthur, who is an experienced dowser, thought the idea was crazy but did
what Gote wanted him to do, and to his own surprise he obtained a strong
reaction with the dowsing rod around Gote.
Gote then concentrated his thoughts on a chair some metres in front of
him, and since he is an artist, he has a very good mental image-seeing ability.
He then asked Arthur to walk around the chair with his dowsing rod.
To Arthur's amazement, the divining rod reacted strongly around the chair
and even stranger, Arthur found that with the help of the dowsing rod, a
distinct "track" of deflection could be followed in the space all the
way between Gote and the chair. In
that way, as far an we know, the first psi-track was discovered.
Scientific
experiments
Gote became immensely interested in this discovery and, during several
years, he devoted much time to researching the psi-track together with several
experienced local dowsers, and he found that the phenomenon repeated itself over
and over again, and seemed to follow certain basic laws.
He realised that he had found a hitherto unknown anomalous phenomenon and
wanted it to be scientifically investigated.
With this aim in mind he contacted Jens A. Tellefsen, a physicist and
associate professor at the Royal Institute of Technology (Tekniska Hogskolan) in
Stockholm. Later, Nils 0. Jacobson
was also contacted and attached himself to the research project.
He is a psychiatrist with a very good knowledge of parapsychology.
Together with Jens' wife, Kristina Anjou, they scientifically studied the
psi-track
for an extended length of time.
The experiments have mostly been done outdoors with the help of dowsing
rods, which have shown to be excellent instruments in order to find the psi-tracks.
In order to facilitate the experimental procedure, they preferred to work
over large areas, for instance, on fields of at least about 100 x 100 metres,
which, before the experiments, had been carefully checked by dowsing for water
veins, electric cables and other possibly disturbing structures.
The
participants, in the simplest of these (single-blind) experiments, have the
following tasks:
one person, 'the sender', chooses a spot as the 'sending place' and then
hides a chosen target object within a reasonable distance (20 to 100 metres)
from the sending place. Standing in
the sending place, he makes a strong mental concentration on the target object. This supposedly creates the psi-track. He will tell nobody about his choice of target and walks away
from the research area. A dowser
now begins to look for the track. He
or she works slowly in small circles around the sending place, and when the
dowser gets the usual reaction from his rod, the spot is clearly marked.
The dowser will then continue to walk around the sending place in
successively larger circles, and when the markings in the circles form a linear
track in some direction, the dowser begins to walk in a zigzag way over this
track. Through the reactions he
gets, it is then possible to follow the psi-track, mostly straightforward,
toward the hidden object. When the
dowser is not getting any reaction at all, the track ends and the target is
mostly found.
When performed in this way, with the indicated procedure, it is a very
striking experience for those who are witnessing the whole thing.
Experiments with the psi-tracks can be done in slightly different ways,
not necessarily with exactly the same protocol as described above. The results are usually the same. In some experiments, an assistant takes part in the
experiment and hides the target object, whereupon the sender, who does not know
the location of the target, creates the psi-track by concentration on the
object. In other experiments the
same person may act both as sender and dowser.
This is the prerequisite for a number of double-blind experiments which
have been performed. It must be
stated that these experiments are so designed that absolutely no traces can be
found on the ground from the feet of the sender or the assistant and leading in
some obvious way to the hidden object.
Of 40 double-blind experiments (at six different occasions during a three
year period) in 32 cases the researchers succeeded within a span of about in
half an hour to find the hidden objects. As
the object is very small, for instance a rock crystal in a field of 100 x 100
metres size or more, the result is remarkable, to say the least.
Is this the first repeatable psi-experiment in history?
No one knows, but the experimenters are eagerly waiting for others to
replicate their results.
Real-life
experience
The psi-track procedure can be used in real-life situations, for
instance, to find lost objects or to locate animals or people who have gone
astray in deep forests. Here are
two examples of very many, of an anecdotal nature.
At Skaggebol estate in the district of Varmland, a certain weed hoe had
been lost since the summer of 1990. In
August 1991, Gote decided to try to find it with his method.
Mrs Gertrud Holm, who sometimes helps in the office at the farm, has some
experience of dowsing, but had not earlier tried the psi-track method. She was even sceptical of it but, anyhow, agreed to give it a
try.
Gote acted as sender and Gertrud with her dowsing rod detected a possible
psi-track, which was duly marked by sticks.
The track went directly behind the huge barn of the estate.
There the hoe was found among high-growing stinging nettles, about 100
metres from the sending place.
On 13th December 1992, Mr. and Mrs. Anders and Berith Lindgren were out
deep in a forest, hunting with some friends.
During the hunt, their dog ran away and disappeared.
They searched for the dog until late at night, and also the two following
days. On 16th December, they
enlisted the dowser Leif Andersson's help.
Leif had at this time been extensively working with Gote and the
researchers.
Someone thought that he had earlier heard barking coming from a certain
hill in the forest, so this was chosen as the first sending place.
Anders and Berith each made one sending, from different places on the
hill. The psi-tracks were detected
in the usual way by Leif and marked on a map.
The tracks were found to point in the northeast direction, towards a
small lake in the forest, about two kilometres from the hunting place.
The group started to search the forest.
During the search, Berith made three more sendings with the resultant
tracks also pointing in the direction of the lake.
At this point, the searching had to be interrupted as it was getting
dark. On their way home, Anders
made two additional sendings from the road, east and north of the lake.
Here again, the psi-tracks pointed to the lake.
The next day, Berith and an uncle of hers went directly to the small
lake. Near the edge of the shore
they found the body of the dog in the water.
Apparently, it had gone through the thin ice that covered the lake on
13th December, and subsequently drowned in the struggle to survive.
Sources of this article are a report by Nils 0. Jacobson and Jens A. Tellefsen in the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research, January 1994 (49 Marloes Road, London, W8 6LA) and an article in Sokaren magazine, 3, 1994, written by Elisabet Broome, Kristina Anjou, and Jens A. Tellefesen, Jr.
Geopathic
stress
“When
you stay at a place and no
longer feel well, then that may be caused by the people you are with. But
perhaps it is the locality that is unhealthy for you. Wait for three days and
three nights. If you then feel exhausted, depart without hesitation, however,
peaceful the place. You cannot recover there and will only become ill. Because
from the earth certain forces radiate which do not agree with you. Follow your
instinct…”

THE
USE OF POLARISED STONES AS A METHOD OF CLEARING HOUSES AND COMMUNITIESOF
DETRIMENTAL RADIATION
Dr. Bruno Fricke, Neumunster, W. Germany. Translation by Nicolas Finck
Extensive investigations in recent years have shown that many older
structures, and in some cases whole communities, are in large part free of
geopathic radiation. This absence
of irritation zones in areas of human habitation has been observed in central
Europe,
Copenhagen, Rome, Spain and Venezuela. It may be assumed that this
phenomenon is to be found in older settlements world-wide, where stone is used
for construction. This state of
balance and protection can be vulnerable with modern construction techniques,
and in a number of cases, this protection has been disturbed by
steel-and-concrete structures, for example, which have been erected between
older houses, and by the large refrigeration units commonly used in hotels.
Yet for a dowser, it is always a pleasure to find these balanced areas
clear of geopathic zones in old cities, villages, and individual houses.
We are talking here about all kinds of irritation ("noxious
radiation") zones, such as water veins, geological faults, and grids of
different kinds, which all have their effects on living things.
In this connection, geological faults appear to have particularly noxious
qualities.
The method of interrupting this irritating radiation is generally through
the use of polarised stones or bricks. In
this procedure, the balancing or healing is achieved when the positive side of
the stone or brick is placed facing upwards.
The foundations of older buildings are particularly effective in
activating this clearing, and it seems to be necessary for some of the stones or
bricks making up the structure to be located below ground level in order to
balance out harmful vibrations, and to achieve harmony with the Earth.
Polarising.
Stones and other objects can be polarised by striking them. Thus, stones
can be laid around a house, and then be hit with a heavy hammer in order to
achieve the correct polarisation. The struck side will be positive, and a wall
of such stones or bricks will balance. And neutralise the effects of geopathic
zones. This
Method has been applied successfully many times.
The use of correctly polarised stones is very old in all cultures, and
appears in the earliest known stone buildings.
Thus, our observations begin with megaliths and other ancient stone
constructions, whose age is now generally assumed to be greater than that of the
Egyptian pyramids, where polarised stones have been observed, but not yet
systematically researched. At
megalithic sites, the stones are placed with the positive side turned inward in
order to send the positive energy into the centre of the space.
This may also be generally observed in churches.
These principles of building with polarised stones, which were first
observed in an old sheep stall on the Lüneburger Heide (Heath) in Northern
Germany, are once again available to us, as this article will report.
Nearly all buildings built before l900 had their energies balanced by
this means, whether they were houses, churches, city halls, castles, palaces, or
large festival halls. The irritating radiation recognised by the dowser is made up
of different components, as has been shown many times, and physical research
indicates that not just one component, but many are active, exactly as in the
observations made on plants, in which it has been demonstrated that some plants
may even be used as bio-indicators to detect the types of zones. When the
components that we regard as noxious are neutralised, others remain in force,
which people (and perhaps animals) can apply for their own purposes.
Thus we come to the sacred realm, and we find that in churches, just as at
megalithic sites, these energies are used in order to lend the priest special
powers. Therefore, we may regard
The ancient megalithic sites as places of initiation, and not just for the
burial of the dead. Certainly they
served other cultural purposes as well. This
becomes especially clear when we see, as Kehnscherper writes, that the dead was
left outside the grave until the decomposition of the body was complete, and
subsequently the bones were buried. Some of these traditions are still practised among certain
orders today, in which the initiate spends time in a dark room with a human
skull in order to reach further levels of enlightenment. Whether or not special powers are associated with the bones
themselves is not something that we will research here perhaps this rite is only
to make clear the passing nature of our life.
Experiments demonstrating the effectiveness of polarised stones.
Two experiments will be described here by which the effectiveness of
polarised stones can be observed.
(1) A cabbage plant that grew over the crossing of two water veins was
completely overrun with caterpillars. Six
or seven polarised fieldstones were laid around the
plant with the positive side up, and after about three days, the
caterpillars had disappeared. The
effect of the water-vein crossing was to lower the natural resistance of the
plant, which allowed the caterpillars to attack.
When the stones were placed,
the effects of these energies were removed, and the plant was able to
re-establish its own defences, causing the caterpillars to withdraw.
Similar behaviour has been observed by Professor E. Jahn in the case of
forests plagued by damaging insects, where the plants suffering the most were
located on crossing points of irritating energies.
(2) It is well known that fresh cow's milk will sour in a few days.
In this experiment, a small amount of milk was taken each day from test
vials. The degree of sourness that
had developed was measured by titration with a thinned sodium mixture to check
for enolpthalene as an indicator. Because
of the difficulty in determining the final results
of this reaction, Christina Otto, a chemical scientist's assistant from the Milk
Institute assisted us with the experiment. It was clearly shown that the degree of souring after three
or four days varied considerably from one vial to another depending on whether
the milk had been on, between or next to the polarised bricks.
This experiment, which has been repeated many times, is a clear
demonstration of some of the effects that polarised stones can have on living
things.
.
There is no doubt that many living things can be affected by the use of
polarised stones, and people can enjoy better health when irritation zones are
balanced (rendered harmless) by this method. This is part of the experience of
qualified dowsers.
Not every neutralising device offered to counteract the effects of
geopathic irritation is effective over long periods of time.
Such devices should only be used after a client's bed has
Been moved to avoid the problem zone.
The use of polarised stones in sufficient quantities appears to be the
best method in such cases, as has been consistently shown in the past.
Economising through a sparing use of stones is not desirable here, as one
of the following examples will show. The
price (in Germany) of correctly polarised bricks is not greater, and their
effect is long lasting. Certain
sources of irritating energies have already been noted.
Modern construction techniques
have not made it possible to avoid these entirely, but an experienced
dowser will be able to provide remedies quickly and without great cost.
The Current Use of Polarised Stones
Today, we can once again employ this ancient building knowledge in
construction. In recent
years, a fair number of houses have been built according to these ancient
principles, and have been shown to be free of geopathic disturbances.
Although today it would be too expensive to inspect each stone, there are
several ways to employ polarised stones. Small quantities of correctly polarised
bricks are again available to us, so that we do not need to depend on
fieldstones, though these, also, can be used successfully. Unfortunately,
co-operation with the brick-production industry is not yet so far along that
properly polarised bricks can be made generally available, with the result that
transport over long distances may be involved. However these bricks are not more
expensive than normal ones.
Prior to construction, any site should be inspected by a dowser competent
to deal with detrimental radiation. It
is important to have the dowser return when the building is complete and the
occupants have moved in, for we have found that about 58 of new houses built
with polarised bricks or stones did not remain clear, and a certain amount of
irritating radiation may return. This can result from the construction
activities themselves, or other disturbances nearby. The skills of a dowser experienced in this field are
essential for this verification.
Following are details of some of the building projects in
which polarised materials were used
Example l.
The chief in charge of construction is an experienced dowser, and one of
the first things done was to place large stones that had been polarised by a
number of heavy hammer-blows over the irritation zones, which in this case were
water veins and geological faults. In
this operation, the positive side is placed facing up, and balancing of the
energies takes place. The areas
between the noxious zones were not laid in with stones, in contrast to the type
of construction found in older buildings. In
this case, all the geopathic disturbances in the living area were removed.
After about three years, a new water line appeared with geopathic
components. This was brought in by
a large new construction project next door.
The new zone, however, does not disturb the beds or the working places of
the inhabitants, so it did
not require further work done to be on it. From this example, we can learn that the whole house should
be surrounded with polarised stones.
Example 2.
Further possibilities exist in the re-use of older foundations.
This was the case where an old
farmhouse was completely renovated with new building materials.
A cellar was added, which was built of correctly polarised bricks, and
the ceiling was built vaulted. Because
of this, the cellar is free of geopathic energies.
Vegetables can be kept there longer without
showing signs of
decay. Here, the same phenomenon may be observed in a storage cellar with
correct construction, and it was shown that vegetables kept fresh longer. This
cellar was built of polarised bricks with a vaulted ceiling. The resulting
polarisation can also be transferred to water placed in the cellar.
Water that dowses as "negative" becomes "positive"
after several hours. The
remarkable effect of this radiation, or should we say, polarity, is also found
in older wine cellars, where it improves wine that is stored there over long
periods of time. A new wooden house
was built on an old foundation, and more masonry was added using polarised
bricks. This included the
installation of a chimney. In
building a chimney and fireplace, the bricks should be set in with the negative
side placed facing the open inside of the chimney in order to provide the
necessary draught.
Example 3.
Two further wooden houses having no cellars were built with correctly
polarised bricks in the foundation. The
result was the complete elimination of the geopathic disturbances.
.
Example 4.
A house was erected when no correctly polarised bricks were yet available.
In this case, a trench three feet wide and four feet six inches deep was
dug around the house, and partly
filled with gravel. Field
stones six or seven inches long were laid on top the gravel, and then
individually struck with about five heavy blows of a hammer from above, and the
noxious radiation was immediately interrupted.
Another layer of similar-sized fieldstones was laid to a depth of 20 or
30 inches, and struck. 'The number
and strength of the hammer blows is important, as is the mass of the individual
stones. It is difficult to polarise
stones which are bigger than those described here by hitting them with a hammer,
and smaller stones do not have a sufficient mass to do the job.
Example 5.
In this case both the
construction chief and the architect were operating on a low budget. These men
wanted the entire foundation to be made of sandstone. A ring of polarised bricks was to be laid to the height of 12
courses. This did not suffice - the bricks were not in the earth, so they were
not grounded. In spite of this, our
inspection showed that noxious zones registering strength of eight outside the
house were reduced to five inside. In
another part of the house, which does not have a cellar under it and therefore
has no steel-and-cement floor, the strength of the irritation zones was reduced
from eight to three. As this was not completely satisfactory, a ring of
polarised fieldstones was additionally laid around the house. In this case, the original recommendation of the dowser was
not followed, and only supplemental measures led to the desired result.
Example 6.
In the case of a half-timbered house with no cellar, flagstones were laid
around the house at intervals of about 10 yards with the positive side up.
Further, the floor was finished using
stones with the positive side up. The
balancing out of the detrimental zones was complete.
Next to this house, a well at a depth of about 50 feet was located.
This house had been built
without the particular purpose in mind of interrupting the disturbing
energies. It was built simply at
the request of the client, yet it was free of harmful radiation’s, that
surprised us.
Investigation, however, showed the cause of this balancing to be the use
of the polarised stones. In this
case, no large foundation was necessary, so that with the relatively few
flagstones, which furthermore lay only on the surface of the earth, a positive
effect was. achieved.
Example 7.
In this case, one layer of large stones surrounded the house to a depth of
about 3 feet. These stones were
struck from above five times with a large tamping machine.
'This was sufficient to polarise them correctly and to balance out the
geopathic zones. It is not necessary that the stones are hit by hand, and a
tamping machine can be used if it is more convenient.
The material presented here shows that today; it is once again possible to
live as our ancestors did, without geopathic disturbances, for the necessary
bricks are now available. 'The
verification of the complete balancing out of detrimental energies remains the
purview of the experienced dowser. Just
as an experienced water dowser is employed to locate wells, a dowser with
special experience in the balancing of radiation is essential for the work
described here. Only such a person
can assure that both the clearing of the site and the subsequent verification
are performed correctly, and that the results are dependable.

Healing
There
is a branch of alternative medicine called Radionics or Radiesthesia. This uses
the dowsing faculty for diagnosis and treatment of disease. The
practitioner holds
that the physical body is enveloped and interpenetrated by a field of
energy called
the etheric body. According to ancient oriental teachings, on which
radiesthesia is
largely based, energy from this etheric body enters the physical body at
seven
principal points, the ‘chakras”
of Indian medicine. These ore, in descending order,
the Crown, or pineal gland; the Ajma (brow), or pituitary lower brain;
the Throat, or
thyroid and bronchial apparatus; the Heart, or circulatory system; the
Solar Plexus,
or pancreas, stomach, liver, gall bladder and nervous system; the Sacral,
or gonads,
i.e. reproductive system; and the Base, or adrenals, spinal column and
kidneys. The
practitioner tries to find where there is imbalance, where there is too
much or too
little activity, and how to restore harmony.
Diagnosis will be made by dowsing over a sample of the patient, in the
knowledge
that this will always vibrate at the some rate as the parent body,
however far they
are apart. Having established where the disharmony is, the practitioner
will find out
what colour is needed for its treatment, and he will probably use an
instrument,
known originally as the ‘black box”, which incorporates facilities
for beaming the
colour, perhaps across an appropriate homeopathic remedy, at the
patient’s sample.
There seems to be a clear relationship between this science and that of
acupuncture, where the practitioner tries to block or unblock channels
through
which energy passes into the physical from the etheric body. I have
written in Part 1
about the power grid covering the Earth. Those who have researched this
say that
places like Stonehenge and the Pyramids correspond to the chakras of
oriental
medicine: that they were used by Stone Age man to correct imbalances in
the
Earths vital energy.
Some qualified physicians, indeed consultants, who have the dowsing
faculty, use
their dowsing as a complement to the conventional medicine which they
administer,
on the principle that a body brought up to the optimum vibration rote is
at the least
in a more favourable condition to benefit from regular medical treatment.
The
faculty could be, and very probably is, used by homeopaths, the pendulum
indicating
which of a selection of possible remedies is the best. There might, say,
be three to
choose from. These would be arranged in a semi-circle, with a sample of
the patient,
a blood spot on a piece of tissue, a lock of hair, fingernail cuttings or
anything from
the patient’s body, at the centre of the circle. The pendulum, having
been given an
initial swing, would point at the best choice.
I have tried my hand at the simplest form of healing, with some success,
I think.
The process, which is described in Dr Thomlinson’s books, must be a bit
like
Christian Science. I first swing my pendulum over the patient’s sample
and run my
finger round Mager’s Rosette until there is o positive reaction, in my
case a
clockwise gyration. If the sample harmonizes with violet I judge the
patient to be
well. If the colour match is lower down the spectrum I deem the patient
to be
unwell: the lower the colour, the more serious the condition. Blue might
be influenza,
red would be very Serious indeed. I then take a deep breath and imagine a
powerful
beam of light coming down on to my head, through my arms and finally
through my
fingers, which focus on the sample like Bunsen burner flames, while I
slowly exhale.
This invariably causes the sample to hormonise with violet. But after an
interval,
depending on the seriousness of the illness, the pendulum’s perfect
circular gyration
will become an ellipse, then it will swing back and forth, and finally
swing anti-
clockwise. I ask the pendulum at what intervals the treatment must be
repeated in
order to maintain harmony with violet. In mild cases once every 24 hours
might be
enough. In one instance (a child with a form of meningitis) I had to do
the treatment
every eight hours for over a week.
This healing technique is based on the knowledge that a sample of the
human body
will always vibrate at the same rate as the parent body, however far they
are apart.
This explains why primitive people will not let anyone have their hair or
nail clippings,
or even photographs of them. All these could presumably serve as samples
for so-
called black magic as well as for healing.
Dowsing can also be used to find peoples allergies. All that is needed is
a sample of
the person under examination and a list of all the foods that one can
imagine him
eating. The dowser runs his finger down the list whilst swinging his
pendulum back
and forth over a sample, and marks any item on the list which causes a
negative
reaction, or a positive reaction to a negative question. In two recent
instances, I
identified allergies which the person in question already knew about, in
particular to
white flour, dairy products, red meat, red wine and oranges in one case,
and to
animal fat in another. A dowser can also tell from the movements of his
pendulum
whether any suspect food has gone off or not. He puts his open left hand
over the
food and swings his pendulum over it.
Dowsing in the Past
There have probably been dowsers since the dawn of civilization. Some
people say
that when Moses struck a rock with his stick and caused water to flow he
was
dowsing. There are pictures of Egyptians at the time of the Pharaohs
using forked
sticks as dowsers do now. Guy Underwood in his ‘Pattern of the Past’
goes into great
detail about lines of energy associated with underground water, which he
calls
“geodetic” lines, claiming that ancient monuments whether religious
or military or
civil used to be sited over significant underground water features. Many
dowsers
have confirmed this. I myself have found it to be true of the megalithic
temples in
Malta, and of old churches which I have visited.
Underwood says that Pope Gregory the Great charged early Christian
missionaries to
build their churches in places regarded as sacred by the pagans,
presumably in order
to make the transition to Christianity easier for worshippers of the old
religion.
From roughly 600 AD to the end of the sixteenth century great churches
and
cathedrals were built by guilds of free—masons who entered into
contracts with the
ecclesiastical authorities and lived on the sites in temporary houses
known as
‘lodges’. They were under the control of Masters and Wardens, and
while building in
a country other than their own, were exempt from taxes and even local
laws. This is
why they were called “free” masons. Underwood suggests that these
builders were
dowsers and that their “secret” was their knowledge of the geodetic
conventions
which dictated the sitting of ancient monuments by earlier man, who was
concerned
not to interfere with the earth’s energy pattern.
It emerges from a dowsers study of early cathedrals that the basic
requirement
was to align the nave on a geodetic line, detectable by a dowser, running
along the
central aisle and ending in a blind spring, at the chancel steps,
enclosed in one or
more spirals’. The position for the altar was usually a double spiral,
of seven turns,
one clockwise and the other anti-clockwise. If possible a site would be
found where
the central geodetic line branched off left and right so as to make a
rough cross. On
these side branches the transepts would be built. If there were a strong
line leading
away from the main pattern, and ending in an important feature like a
multiple blind
spring, the Chapter House or some other cathedral appendage would be
built there.
All the most famous cathedrals display these characteristics,
Westminster,
Winchester, Salisbury, Chichester, Southwark and Lincoln, far example.
Having found the right place, the masons had to devise a structure which
not only
accorded with the basic geodetic requirements but also conformed with the
rectangular conventions of a cathedral. This often demanded great
ingenuity,
involving eccentricities which any builder worthy of the name would have
avoided. A
modern church would, Underwood says, not be designed with a bend in the
nave, as
at Southwark Cathedral, or with the chance! or Lady chapel askew, as in
many old
churches, or with the nave, chance! and Lady chapel out of alignment with
each
other, as in some others. At Chichester Cathedral hardly a line is
straight, any two
lines parallel or any angle a right-angle. Canterbury has its nave, choir
and retro-
choir.
Winchester was built on a swamp, though surrounded by suitable higher
ground. The sites of
Westminster and Salisbury were almost equally unsatisfactory. Places of
worship were also built at very inconvenient distances from the
communities they
were meant to serve, and often far bigger than was necessary. The first
priority
was to conform with the geodetic design.
I imagine that in post ages the priests were dowsers. This dowsing
faculty might
have been the reason why they were priests, and why the priesthood had so
much
authority. The druids of Celtic Europe were able to enforce their
religious law even
on the military leaders of the time. They, like the free-masons, had
secrets which
they guarded. In his De Bello Gallico Caesar said that it took them
twenty years to
learn them, and that the druids of Britain were their teachers.
Stonehenge has at least sixteen streams crossing under the centre of it.
Many
writers have commented on the fact that numbers of Neolithic and
Christian
monuments ore located on lines radiating from it. One writer has
suggested that on
midsummer morning the rising sun, as it appears over the “heel
stone”, sends
beneficent energy radiating outwards along these alignments, and that in
past ages
people have kept vigil, with their families and their flocks, on hill
tops on one of the
“spokes” to receive their annual spiritual and physical boost, as a
special annual
supplement to the other solar benefits. Other experts claim that
Stonehenge was
dedicated to the moon rather than the sun. Others say that Stonehenge, like the Pyramids,
the Cathedral of Chartres and Ireland’s own Newgrange, ore significant
as
key markers, power points as it were, in the grid of energy covering the
Earth’s
surface. These are all notable for the fact that sensitive’ people feel
spiritually
uplifted in them. It cannot be a coincidence that Chartres was the site
of the chief
training college of the Gallic druids, ages before the cathedral was
built.
Initiation of Priests
The central chamber of the Great Pyramid of Cheops, which was sited like
Stonehenge aver a dramatic underground water feature, contains a
sarcophagus
which has never had a dead body in it. One year a courageous
archaeologist spent
the night from midsummer eve until the dawn of midsummer day lying in
this stone
coffin. He emerged saying that he was not sure exactly what had happened,
but it
had been very odd indeed. It has been suggested that novice priests used
to keep
vigil in this way as part of their initiation, going through the death
and re-birth
cycle, as it were, in places where the earth energy was collected and
magnified. It is
well-known that a model pyramid, made in the proportions of the Cheops
one, has
remarkable qualities. It causes the pendulum to gyrate with extraordinary
violence,
and it desiccates and preserves meat placed at its geometric centre. We
have read
how Czech soldiers in World War II used to re-sharpen their razor blades,
no longer
available in shops, by placing them facing north and south in the centre
of a
cardboard model of the pyramid, which was itself placed with two apposite
sides
north and south.
There was on empty sarcophagus in the famous Irish chambered cairn at
Newgrange,
under a domed roof which was originally lined with layers of different
substances as
if to insulate the chamber and to concentrate there the influences
brought to bear
on it. Unlike Stonehenge, Newgrange was built to receive the sun’s
blessing at the
Winter Solstice. There remains an incomplete parabolic mirror of polished
stone,
placed so as to catch the rays of the rising sun on what would now be
December the
21st, and to flood the chamber with them at the important moment of dawn.
Perhaps
this chamber and sarcophagus were used in the initiation of novitiate
druids at this
other significant stage of the sun’s apparent life. Perhaps, like the
archaeologist in
the pyramid, they emerged very confused, or with all secrets revealed to
them.
domes and pyramids both seem to magnify dowsing force. It is interesting
that
pyramid-shaped turrets and domes are found over places in churches under
which a
number of streams intersect.
THE
BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF EARTH RADIATION
Editors
Note: This
is the paper presented by Alf Riggs to the international conference held in
Copenhagen University in May 1995. The
subject dealt with at the conference was Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity.
Although
this talk is in the main dealing with the biological effects of earth radiation,
I must tell you that one cannot usefully evaluate the effects of earth rays on
the bio-system without taking into consideration other fields from A/C and D/C
sources that are instrumental in causing dysfunction at cell level: these will
be mentioned as they become relevant.
The
earth radiation that I seek to locate employing a dowsing technique is confined
to the so-called global grid systems created by cosmic radiation inter-acting
with the earth’s magnetic field, namely the Curry Grid (Dr. Manfred Curry),
Hartmann Net (Dr. Ernst Hartmann), geological fault lines, underground streams
and some as yet unclassified lines of radiation that may in loose terms fall
into the Ley line group. It is also important to establish to what degree there
is a problem arising from the invasion of Radon Gas which is over and above the
background level, this being caused by the disintegration salts of Uranium and
other radioactive elements.
Noxious Fields
The
unclassified radiation hazard that I came across in recent years is about 14.5
cm wide, and when found clustered in groups there is a distance of some 97 cm
between each band. If groups of this type coming from different
directions cross on the site where a house is built, it is quite common to find
a history of cancer, leukaemia and other serious diseases being visited upon the
people that have lived there, and the pets they have kept.
When formulating a league table of hazard rating, experience has led me
to place this type at the top of the list of earth rays causing damage to the
bio-system. Very often I find that if a person is sleeping above a
crossing point of these grids, cancer will often develop within a time span of 2
- 4 years, the site of the cancer being in close proximity to where the grid
lines come on the body.
It
is also frequently found that, apart from this type of radiation having an
adverse effect on the bio-electric system, it also damages domestic electrical
appliances resulting in many breakdowns. The
late Dr. Bill Sutherland measured these lines claiming thay produced frequencies
in the Ghz range. Such is the close proximity of these bands, it is often
impossible to find a neutral zone within the confines of the house where a bed
could be usefully relocated. Electric
light bulbs in such homes tend to have a short working life span.
At
the Manny Patel Cancer Clinic in Bangor, North Wales, I was called upon to
examine the house of one of their patients. It is my standard practice not to
have any information related to the house, or individual health problems, in
order to conduct a blind investigation. In this case, however, I was in receipt
of the knowledge that someone living in the house was suffering from cancer.
After dowsing five sleeping sites, I was able to state that the person in
question slept on the right-hand side of a double bed, and if they slept on their
back, the cancer would be in the area of the left breast; if they slept on their
stomach it would be located in the area of the right breast.
A
member of the staff who watched me working said: “You have found the right bed
and the correct side but the patient sleeps on her back and has the cancer in
her right breast, not the left as you suggest.” Arising from this, I was able
to state with some confidence that the bed had been moved recently some 8-10
inches to the left. They then consulted a member of the family who confirmed the
bed had been moved in order to accommodate a bedside cabinet. When the cabinet
was removed we could see the original position of the bed by the imprint left in
the carpet. Measuring the leg of bed positions from the centre to centre
established it had been moved some 8½ inches to the left, bringing the crossing
point of the lines of radiation in the area of the right breast. It is possible
to be this accurate particularly when the lines are a combination of the narrow
bands generated from the underground
water movement, and geological fault lines.
Since
we are beginning to understand that it is essential to maintain
a degree of stability in the electro-magnetic state at cell level, it
becomes necessary and important to make provision to ensure that we are not
immersed in noxious fields for long periods of time.
In
1922, a group of doctors in Germany, aided by skilled dowsers, completed a
programme of research investigating the effects that earth rays imposed on the
human organism. They concluded that earth radiation of the type that dowsers
detected was the prime cause of most serious diseases,
and
called upon the government to organise a national study dealing with this
subject. The state of the economy in Germany following the First World War was
such that demands for research into this area failed to gain any favour, so
little, or nothing was done on an official basis.
In
1929, however, Gustav Freiherr von Poht, a respected dowser, was invited to
investigate the town of Vilsbiburg, where deaths from cancer were above the
national average. His brief was to locate and mark the areas of severe geopathic
disturbance that would be cancer causing in zones where beds were placed. Such a
cartographical investigation had never been attempted before, and to complete
this survey with acceptable results it was necessary to arrange official
supervision and escorts to gain entry into houses and gardens.
There
were 565 houses, with around 900 flats and 3,300 inhabitants. He mapped the
lines of radiation going through each room but with particular attention to
bedrooms. His findings were
officially confirmed by medical officers appointed by the Town Mayor after
consulting the town’s medical and death records. Some houses (42) had a
history of seven deaths from cancer during the period for which such information
was recorded. This information is stored in the Town Hall at Vilsbiburg.
Von
Poht’s work stimulated extensive action among central European medical
professions. In Stettin, the Medical Officer, Dr.Hager, undertook his own city
survey of 5,348 cancer cases, the outcome of which did much to
account for the widespread acceptance on the continent of the geopathic
influence on cancer, and other illnesses originating or stimulated by
electromagnetic fields from Telluric radiation sources.
In
more recent times, the findings of dowsers, such as Kathe Bachler, who dowsed in
14 countries, dealing with over 11,000 cases in 3,000 homes (all information
recorded); Kurt Weinberg, the
talented dowser from Kassel, over 9,000 cases with well-illustrated information
dealing with each house and workplace examined ;
plus my own experience, leaves me with no element of doubt whatsoever
that the emissions from Telluric radiation represent a major contributory factor
in the development of many serious diseases.
Dr.
Ernst Hartmann, well-known originally, for his discovery of the global grid
system (the Hartmann Grid), researched the effects of earth rays on humans for
well over thirty years; his experience led him to produce a six hundred page
report stating that disease was a problem of location. He found one of the first
things to be adversely affected was the immune system, as a result of which,
individuals placed above an area of
geopathic disturbance soon lost the ability to defend themselves against harmful
bacteria that previously they were able to withstand. There was also a very firm
link with the development of cancer in people that slept or worked above the
crossing points of earth ray systems for lengthy periods of time.
In
1989, a group of researchers in Austria completed a two-year study on the short
-term consequences of human association with Pathogenic sites. Some 985 people
were tested with 462,421 measurements recorded from 6,943 tests. The working
party was headed by Dr. Otto Bergsmann (Internal Medicine), a professor at the
University of Vienna. A 158 page report gave details of changes in the serum
values of Serotonin, Zinc and Calcium after being exposed to these noxious
fields for a period of ten minutes. There
were many other altered states to biological functions noted as a result of
short-term exposure to these forces.
This
group has now linked with two universities in Austria studying the effects of
disturbed zones on the immune system. Indications
thus far support the findings of Dr. Ernst Hartmann who claimed that the
protective role of the immune system was undermined when immersed in emissions
from pathogenic sites.
Magnetic Fields
It
is now possible to purchase, from the local hardware store, a magnet that clips
onto the domestic water supply pipe (most have a field strength of around 7,000
Gauss), for the purpose of changing hard water into soft water.
It achieves this by promoting an altered state in the molecular structure
of Magnesium and Calcium. If one
takes into consideration the sphere of influence of such a magnet and the
average speed of water flowing through a domestic water pipe, the change would
take place in less than two seconds. They
are said to be approved by the Water Board, but what the adverts fail to mention
is the fact that other elements which go to make up the normal content of tap
water would also be subject to altered states.
The
object of raising this point was to indicate that magnetic fields have a
property that is conducive to bringing about altered states to an organised
structure. It is also my concern
that a magnetic field of that magnitude may also cause spontaneous mutation to
water-borne bacilli, as cell dysfunction is said to arise from much lower output
levels than this.
Dr.
Wolfgang Pose, of Hamburg, selected a random magnetic field strength of 2,000
Gauss, in order to demonstrate that such fields can alter the molecular
structure of chemicals. He first tested the theory using several hundred plants
set out in three rows. One line of plants used as a control was watered with
plain water. He then filled a large container with water adding concentrated
Sulphuric Acid and Formaldehyde. After mixing well, the mixture was placed into
two smaller containers, one of which was treated by placing a 2,000 Gauss bar
magnet against the side of the container for 15 minutes.
All
plants watered with the untreated mixture soon died off, there being no
perceptible difference between the state of the control plants, and those fed
with the treated water. This was
demonstrated in a more profound way when the above procedure was adopted and the
contaminated water poured into two aquariums, again one treated for 15 minutes
with the magnet. When these tanks
were stocked with fish it was always the case that the fish in the untreated
water soon died, and the fish in the treated tank did not. Dr. Pose went on to
develop an instrument that employed a 2,000 Gauss rotating magnet to change the
structure of Mercury in order to remove its toxic properties.
Dr.
Pose never sought to achieve the same results using a weaker magnetic field, or
reduced the time factor. As far as
he was concerned he had proved his point. It is my contention, based on
observations, that magnetic field strengths of a much lower order from A/C and
D/C sources are instrumental in promoting changes to some organised structures
within the biological framework.
The Geomagnetic
Field
Dr.
Ludger Mersmann, Doctor of Physics and Medicine from the department of
Bio-Physics and Medicine, Wassenach, found that the interaction between
magnetic field gradients, and biological systems, produced anomalies affecting
the biochemical reactions and the oxidation processes in the body, resulting in
damage to the hormone and immune systems. Intense magnetic anomalies coupled
with long exposure time presents a threat to the welfare of the bio-system. The
threshold of the magnetic anomalies between a physiological and a pathological
value of the magnetic field gradient is to be found between 2,000 and 3,000 nT
measured over a one metre length. The magnetic field gradient can be caused by
an increasing or decreasing magnetic field intensity.
A
classification of the different gradients of the magnetic field anomalies based
on thousands of measurements, and equated to differing degrees of biological
malfunction, was set down as follows:-
Normal
= less
than 2,000 nano Tesla measured over a one metre length
Threshold
= 2,000
nT - 3,000 nT/1m
Disturbed
= 3,000
nT - 5,000 nT/1m
Strongly
Disturbed
= 5,000
nT - 10,000 nT/1m
Very
Highly Disturbed =
10,000 nT or greater/1m
The
original advice coming from centres of research in Germany was, if by measuring
above a bed with a geomagnetometer, there is a difference greater than 4,000 nT
over a one metre span on any part of the bed, then that zone should be
classified as disturbed, and the bed moved It was my experience to find,
however, that in an overwhelming majority of cases what was being measured was
not the state of the geomagnetic field, but a disruption of the D/C field caused
in the main by metal parts in the bed base, mattress and some headboards, with
metal central heating radiators, and other steel structures in close proximity
to the bed being to a lesser degree contributory factors.
In
the course of investigating a house for radiation problems, I came across a
single bed with a line of a minor nature (Hartmann net) crossing the bottom of
the sleeping site. If this were
said to be the sum total of the problem, even in the long term one would not
expect this to contribute a threat to the welfare of the biosystem.
When evaluating the state of the geomagnetic field around and under the
bed, it was found to be normal, but when measuring the value of the D/C field of
46,300 nT, this was recorded in the top half of the bed over a span of some 27
cm. The mattress springs were responsible for over 90% of the difference, with
metal in the headboard accounting for the rest.
The
person who slept in the bed had been ill with a multiplicity of problems for
about six years, four years in this country, two in America, the main symptoms
being chronic fatigue, depression, mental confusion and candida.
The bed was purchased six years before in California, and her health
problems started around that time. Even though she had visited medical
specialists in both countries and spent a great deal of money doing the rounds
in the so-called fringe medicine circuit, no useful progress was made until she
started to sleep in a wooden bed, with a non-spring mattress. (The bed was also
placed into a neutral zone).
There
have been many cases where metal parts in beds have served to destroy the value
of a stable geomagnetic field generally with a more reduced level of distortion
than above and were a factor in the overall equation. Sometimes the bed is placed with the head end up against a
double radiator; in many such cases I have measured a difference of more than
25,000 nT across the area of the brain of anyone sleeping there.
The receding value across this area being due to the field conforming to
the inverse square law.
The
most recent indication that disturbed dc fields could be a factor associated
with the promotion of ill-health arose from my investigation of a house near
Putney Bridge, London (9.2.95) where I found an anomaly in the value of a dc
field measured around the area of the head where a two-year-old girl slept
(32,600 nT). This was a very high reading produced in a confined space by the
springs in the cot mattress, this being the only problem that I encountered.
The girl was diagnosed to be suffering from Germ Cell Cancer with a
tumour said to be as large as an orange.
It
is said arising from epidemiological studies there is a lower incidence of
cancer and S.I.D.S. cases in S.E. Asia. During my visits in that area I noted
that most of the beds were of wood, with an organic mattress. The beds that I slept on were made with a rough wooden frame,
with three or four loose planks of wood for a base topped with a cotton
mattress. With this arrangement, you were immersed in a D/C field that
represented the true value of whatever the geomagnetic field transmitted, which
in most cases proved to be normal.
Another
fact worth noting is the custom to place babies into a cloth hammock which is
suspended from the ceiling by an elasticated cable. The hammock is very often to
be found swinging around as a result of which it would not remain over the most
damaging narrow banded radiation as it would if sleeping above a fixed position.
Also there were no metal parts in the make-up of the bed.
S.I.D.S.
It
is my contention that in many a so-called cot death the baby is damaged in the
embryonic stage of development as a result of the mother sleeping above a site
producing morphogenic fields. This
is sometimes compounded and intensified by the presence of other factors such as
a disrupted D/C field, pulsed magnetic field invasion
from a number of sources outside, as well as inside the house.
Some worked during their pregnancy, in one case travelling to work via an
electrified rail system (1½ hours each way), going on to work a VDU in an
office employing many other electrical devices.
VDUs
often emit more than 1,000 nT in pulsed magnetic fields, infra red, ultra
violet, and X-rays, and from the latest research the static field on the front
of the screen is said to attract the isotopes of Polonium, Bismuth and Lead.
In this way the developing baby was being saturated by radiation of one
description or another for practically twenty-four hours a day.
But in overall consideration, earth radiation was very much
central to this problem where radiation could be said to be a factor.
With
a myriad of highly specific electromagnetic signals being transmitted within the
foetus in order to create a normal, healthy baby it becomes of paramount
importance that this creative symphony of precision engineering is allowed to
take place in a relatively stable electromagnetic background in order to obtain
the very best end result. When
taking stock of the state of D/C stability inside cots, I sometimes found them
to be disturbed by over 20,000 nT measured over the length of the cot.
This being caused in the main by the metal grid supporting the mattress,
this being on occasion intensified by the coil springs in the mattress.
Where
there had been a sudden infant death without any obvious reason, it is the
practice of some hospitals to provide the family with an early warning device
when their next baby is born. In all cases that I came across the electronic
unit was placed in the cot very often on the body, or close to the head. The
type that worked off the mains electricity supply emitted more than 1,400 nT in
pulsed magnetic fields. Both the
battery and mains operated units served to disrupt the value of the geomagnetic
field by more than 150 milliGauss. In most cases the cable connecting the main
unit was long enough to allow placing it outside the cot and this they were
advised to do - those that were too short were modified.
Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis
As
a result of investigating houses and workplaces with a blind test approach, I
have come to the conclusion that energy depleted states loosely classified as
being ME fall in the main into two classes:
ME - caused as a result of being exposed to specific types of earth
radiation, and an energy depleted state resulting from post viral fatigue.
ME
Caused by Earth Radiation
The
molecules of moving underground water interacting with the structure of the
strata it is flowing through, produces a positive vertical electric field, a dc
generated magnetic field, radio frequencies ranging from 87 - 101 Mhz and ultra-shortwaves
which are organised into narrow bands about 6-8 cm wide.
These bands are formed on the outside edges of moving subterranean water
courses, known as outside edge lines, with other lines forming across the width
of the stream producing lines about the same width but with a different
frequency value (recorded on my chart as high energy output lines).
If
a female is sleeping and/or working above the outside edge line for a lengthy
period of time, it has been my experience to find that they are suffering from
what is said to be ME. If they are
also immersed in A/C pulsed magnetic fields above 70 nano Tesla, this serves to
speed up the development of an energy depleted state by a considerable margin.
The position of the band of radiation on the body, particularly when
related to the sleeping site and the type of radiation it is in combination
with, will in some fair measure determine the range of symptoms associated with
ME that the individual will be suffering from, as the enclosed charts will serve
to indicate.
In
the course of investigating more than 1,600 energy depleted
state cases, I have noted that young girls can sleep above the outside
edge line for many years without being affected to any marked degree - that is
until they reach the age of puberty at which stage, almost without exception
they go down with ME. When the outside edge line crosses both male and female
bodies in a double bed, the female is always adversely affected, whereas the
male suffers in only a small percentage of cases. Based on my observations -
resulting from investigating over 14,000 sites - I have come to the firm
conclusion that disease is, in some fair measure, a problem of location, with
the fields generated from earth, and man-made sources having the ability to
invade the cell, altering the values of the bio-electric systems within.

resulting from investigating over 14,000 sites - I have come to the firm
conclusion that disease is, in some fair measure, a problem of location, with
the fields generated from earth, and man-made sources having the ability to
invade the cell, altering the values of the bio-electric systems within.
It
is my contention that the ultra short waves emitted from the outside edge line
interacts with oestrogen, setting up a resonance which in turn is instrumental
in altering the value of specific messages sent along the mitochondrion electron
chain, resulting in a deficiency of adenosine triphosphate, the main energy
releasing agent in the cell. Since,
from the study of biophysics, we are beginning to understand that the contents
of the biological framework is motivated by highly specific electromagnetic
frequencies at cell level, it is becoming apparent to me that in many diseases
the problem to be addressed as a matter of priority is the state of the electric
fields at cell level. It is also
possible that this type of radiation may enlarge the red blood cells to a point
where some would find it difficult to pass through the fine capillaries at the
top of the brain stem.
After
placing the bed into a neutral zone, away from the harmful earth rays and
man-made radiation, individuals suffering from ME often enjoy an improved
quality of life without necessarily achieving a full recovery. In order to
promote an improvement to this development, one has to correct the imbalance in
the value of the electric fields within the mitochondria, and this is best
achieved by employing the talents of a competent, and compatible, healer. One
such person who enjoys a high degree of sucess in the treatment of ME is Seka
Nicolic who works in the Hale Clinic, London W1.
It
is now possible to measure in precise terms the frequencies generated from the
hands of a healer or anyone else for that matter.
Another
type of radiation associated with energy depleted states is the so-called three
banded Hartmann grid line, but only when in combination with A/C pulsed magnetic
fields greater than 70nT. ( The
Hartmann grid is created as a result of interaction between cosmic radiation and
geomagnetic fields ).
A
brain scan in one patient demonstrated there was a marked reduction of blood in
the area of the brain; after being
moved away from the offending radiation and, after receiving treatment from Seka
Nicolic, the woman enjoyed a much improved state of health and a second brain
scan revealed that the supply of blood to the brain had been increased by over
20%.
Attempting
to rectify an altered state in the structure of an electric field by employing
the skills of a healer, or by any other method, whilst the patient continues to
be immersed in these noxious fields, is on a par with trying to treat someone
who has a burnt hand whilst their hand is still in the fire. It becomes
essential to place the patient to
sleep and work in zones where the A/C and dc electromagnetic background is more
compatible with the requirements of the bio-electric system before any attempt
of healing can usefully take place. Being a healer myself, I found it served no
useful purpose to give someone a few minutes healing a week if they were going
home to sleep in a disturbed zone that was instrumental in causing biological
damage for the next fifty hours or so - thus it became essential to investigate
the areas where the subject worked and slept.
In
the Hands On Science Museum in Adelaide last August, I was able to demonstrate
that there is a degree of bio-electric individuality when measuring emissions
from the hands of a group of men and women.
Some healers have a good record in dealing with a limited number of
specific diseases but fail to improve the quality of life for people with
diseases outside their ability to deal with. It is my contention that where
radiation is the cause of a disease, the invading fields are often frequency
specific and multi-factorial in their content.
In the same way, repair to the dysfunction of electric fields at cell
level would, from necessity, have to be equally precise when employing electro
magnetic field therapy.
In
research (not related to the study of ME), scientists used a 13000 Gauss magnet
in an effort to promote enzyme production.
Although they succeeded in achieving this, the technique failed to induce
the production of an enzyme that was deficient.
When the services of healers were used in a number of tests, it was found
that those using their hands as an instrument were able to correct the
deficiency without increasing other enzymes - one of the compounds successfully
dealt with in this way was ATP (Adenosine
Triphosphate).
When
thinking in terms of constructing an instrument that would achieve the same
results as a healer, one would need to take into consideration the fact that
when measuring the emissions from their hands, it is of paramount importance to
be frequency specific in real terms (not in round figures) whilst, at the same
time, recording the same wave type, polarity, magnetic field strength along with
the the harmonic and unharmonic values, etc. If the instrument is intended for use in dealing with energy
depleted states caused by radiation, then it would be necessary to measure the
output from the hands of a healer who has a proven track record in improving the
quality of life for people with this particular problem.
It
has been my experience to find that individuals adversely affected by the types
of radiation mentioned above, tend to wake up with a serious energy depleted
state, no matter how long they have slept or rested.
When
this condition is caused solely as a result of viral infection such as the
Epstein Barr virus, the sufferers usually wake up having had the energy
depletion repaired to a useful degree during the course of the night only to
find that it ebbs away during the day. There are of course some individuals on
the receiving end of both Post Viral Fatigue and Earth Radiation and, in these
cases, the energy depleted state is more profound.
Moving
the ME sufferer away from the influence of the offending radiation and then
sending them to Seka Nicolic for treatment has resulted in improving the quality
of life in over 80% of cases including many long-term cases that were severely
disabled. ( ME is also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ).
A/C
Fields
It
has been my experience to find that you cannot usefully evaluate the biological
effects of A/C pulsed magnetic fields, or ambient electric fields without taking
into consideration a multiplicity of other factors.
Over
the years there have been many reviews carried out by official bodies dealing
with claims of diseases caused by A/C fields, the main body of research being
condemned as unproven based on the fact that although there was a degree of
uniformity in the frequency, and magnetic field strengths associated with the
cases presented, it failed to produce the same degree of uniformity in the
diseases it was said to cause.
It
has been my experience to find that the intermodulation effects of the above
mentioned radiation commonly produces different diseases sometimes in a highly
predictable manner. It is,
therefore, based on my observations, necessary to take all these factors into
consideration in order to arrive at a more meaningful, and informative, outcome.
Where
cases of Leukaemia are associated with high A/C magnetic fields I find they are
in combination with the above mentioned types of earth radiation.
I
am prepared to work with any University on a blind test basis in order to prove
my finding that the radiation generated by the movement of underground water,
when in combination with A/C pulsed magnetic fields above the value of 70 nano
Tesla, is a major contributory factor in the development of ME.
Motor
Neurone Disease
In
MND cases that I have come across, there have always been lines of radiation
passing through the pillow area of the bed, with bands generated by underground
water movement a factor in every case, these narrow bands being sometimes in
combination with other types of radiation. It is thought by some researchers
investigating the cause of MND that a deficiency of the enzyme Glutamate
Dehydrogenase, which breaks down the level of Glutamate when it becomes
excessive, could be a contributory factor in the overall equation.
Tests are planned in a London Hospital this year to examine this and
other theories. It is my contention
that there are liable to be deficiencies related to this problem including
Dopamine and this would arise from the fact that such elements would be subject
to structural changes due to the action of specific types of radiation.
There
are also indications that the ability of the pineal gland to synthesise
Melatonin, etc. would be impaired by this type of earth ray invasion.
In addition to which any reduction to the level of the biologically
beneficial Schuman waves would be detrimental to the working efficiency of the
pineal gland. The idea of making
good such deficiencies by providing them in supplement form would, in my
opinion, in the long term be doomed to failure unless the patients’ beds are
moved to a neutral site. Any enzyme or hormone replaced in this way is liable to
be adversely affected in the same way by the incoming noxious fields as were the
original elements.
I have noted above that, in some underground streams, there was a reduced value to the field strength of the Schuman resonance. Since aircraft have been flying at a higher altitude there has been an increase in the level of sickness among aircrews; a research team in Australia found a deficiency of Melatonin was common to the crews they examined. When the shortfall of the hormone was made good, the level of sickness fell back to what was considered to be normal. In a separate and unrelated enquiry into the problem it was discovered that the value of the Schuman waves diminished above 36,000 feet to a point
